Dragon's curse

chapter seventy two

Dear Ash, I will make this spell work even if it means I have to sacrifice myself in order for the spell to work. I am alright with dieing from the spell as long as it means you are back to normal Ash. We are currently heading towards Fire Holl right now and by my estimation, we will be there in three days. I should be there by dawn, I will see you then. Sincerely, Jaff.

The next day, Jaff quickly ran through the dense forest filled with pine trees that surrounded them from every corner. Jaff closed his eyes as he ran and cleared his head of any thoughts that echoed in his head. Suddenly, Jaff instantly turned into what looked to be a large wolf that was almost the same size of a horse. Ash quickly followed Jaff from the skies as she used all of her senses to track him like an eagle would do when fishing for food. Two days later, Jaff was almost at Fire Hill and he was exhausted from running for three days without any sleep. As he got closer to Fire Hill, Jaff noticed that there was the sound of chanting that could be heard as he got closer by the second with Ash following close behind. Jaff quickly glanced behind him to see that Ash looked nervous about the chanting that grew louder as they got closer to Fire Hill. He quickly thought to himself, I have to keep Ash from flying away and she needs to keep following me.

Jaff sighed as he said under his breath in a low whisper, “Forgive me Ash.” He quickly took a deep breath and yelled to Ash, “What is wrong Bitch? Am I too fast for you?”

Suddenly, a fureuse look came across Ash’s face and she instantly no longer had any hesitation as she continued to follow Jaff. 

Jaff instantly said to himself out loud, “Well that worked.”

Threes passed by as Jaff noticed that Ash was picking up speed as she flew a little bit faster then she was a second ago. Suddenly, what looked to be a medium sized bird with black and brown colores flew next to Jaff as he ran. Jaff quickly noticed that the bird had a small white beak that was slightly opened as if the bird was carrying something in its mouth. The bird struggled to keep up with Jaff as the bird flapped its small wings as hard as it could while watching Jaff run as fast as he could. Jaff started to breath heavily from exhaustion as he quickly ran out of the woods and into a large field of dirt with deep craters.

Jaff asked through exhaustion and ragged breath “What… Do you wan’t?”

The medium sized bird opened its mouth and said “We are all set for you and Ash.”

A surprised look came across Jaffs face as he nodded in understanding as he quickly picked up speed and ran even faster. He instantly ran through the field and into another group of trees, in just a few minutes they were a few feet from the Fire Hill. The sound of chanting was so loud that Jaff and Ash heads started to pound in pain like they were breaking through layers upon layers of brick walls with their heads. After a few moments, Jaff and Ash reached the Fire Hill instantly, Ash quickly fell from the sky. Jaff realized as Ash hit the ground that she had passed out from the pain that she felt in her head. He quickly stopped running in pain as his head felt like it was splitting into two, Jaff bent over as he placed his hands on his knees and felt like he was going to get sick. In an instant, Electro quickly ran over to Jaff and grabbed one of his hands as he pulled Jaff out of the Fire Hill. Jaff slowly realized that his headache was starting to disappear as they left Fire Hill. Once they were far enough away from Fire Hill, they quickly stopped running and Jaff quickly fell to his knees but before he touched the ground Electro quickly caught him as Jaffs legs gave out from under him. Sam slowly walked up to them with a slightly calm demeanor with a hint of concern.

Electro asked Sam in concern, “How is she doing?”

Sam replied, “Well, she passed out from the spell that we casted and now we need to make a big enough cage for her so we make sure she does not hurt herself.”

Electro nodded his head in understanding as he asked “Can you help me Sam ?”

Sam smiled as he nodded his head yes and quickly placed one of Jaffs arms around his shoulder. Electro did the same with Jaffs other arm and he helped carry Jaff to a small house that was hidden behind a group of large trees. Once they were inside of the house, they carefully placed Jaff onto the small couch filled with three layers of blankets. Electro then leaves the building to get started on building the cage that will detain Ash from hurting herself.
