I can't believe I am doing this but here it goes, I am not Ash this time and I assume for a while. I am Jaff and I brought Jeff hom but for some reason I can’t bring myself to tell his parents that he is dead, I haven't even told them that I am a half breed or the whole story about Jeff for that matter. I don’t know what I am going to do, plus I am badly injured too.
Ann asked as she slowly popped one of Jaff’s rib cage bones back in place, “What did they think you did?”
Jaff said through gritted teeth, “Mmmm…They thought I killed a bunch of people in a ballroom but I don't know how many but during that time I was only five years old.”
Shain said in sapride, “Damn, well at least your charges were dropped and you aren't being held accountable.”
Jaff smiled as he said “I have your son and his friend to thank for that, he helped me when I really needed it the most and he gave me a choice in a way. I remember it clear as day, when we were traveling and everyone else was asleep, he told me you have a choice to make Jaff. Jeff said I could keep running away and have bounty hunters think I am not a victim while having them chase after me or I can turn myself into the authority, tell them everything that happened on that day. He also told me to answer any questions that they had for me as well.”
Suddenly there was a light popping sound as one of the bones popped back into place and Shain asked curiously, “How many more bones do you have to pop back into place?”
Ann instantly held up four fingers as she continued working on Jaffs injuries and said with a slight smile, “We have a room that you could stay in for the night and I can make a pot of coffee after I am finished if you’d like.”
Jaff replied in pain as he felt Ann slowly start to pop another one of his bones back into place, “Thanks for the offer, I will actually take you up on that offer and maybe a glass of coffee as well.”
Ann nodded as she popped the bone back in place while she said “Only two more to go and we are done with that part.”
Shain asked “Don’t we have any sedatives or painkillers for him?”
Ann quickly got up from the couch and went over to the other side of the couch, she quickly sat down next to Jaff while she started feeling for the last two bones that were sticking out. After a few seconds of searching, she spotted the two bones and started popping them back in place.
Ann slowly replied as her hands started moving one of the bones back into place, “No, we ran out yesterday unfortunately but we are supposed to get more tomorrow unless you want to give him the cat's painkillers.”
Shain instantly said “No way.”
Ann quickly popped another bone back into place while quickly moving to the last bone, Shain sighed as he got up from the sofa and walked over to a small cabinet that was screwed into one of the walls next to the door.
Shain asked “How do you like your liquor?”
Jaff said in pain as she popped the last bone back in place, “I don’t drink alcohol but thanks for the offer.”
Ann said while looking at his injuries, “Well that's pretty much all I can do for for the major part of the injuries and that's not much since I don't have enough experience yet but what I can do if you want me to is wrap some bandages around your side tightly as if it was a splint. It will hurt but at least your injuries will be covered.”
Jaff asked “If that’s alright, can you do that for me?”
Ann sighed as she replied “I was afraid you would ask that, alright but I am going to need you to turn your back towards me so I can do this properly.”
