Dragon's curse

chapter seven

I don't feel normal any more, It feels like I am changing on the inside and out. Mom I don't know what to do anymore, I know I got cursed but I don't remember it at all. I did nothing wrong, I was cursed with the dragon's curse and I shouldn’t be alive at this point. I will have to feed soon and I hope it's not a human that I have to eat.

Ash slowly woke up to Jack and Death arguing with each other, they were arguing back and forth like a married couple as she sat up from the passion that she was in. 

Ash asked in a sad and groggy voice “So? I guess the big question is how am I going to kill my self?”

Jack and Electro immediately stopped arguing at each other, they then looked over at Ash with a concerned look. Jack quickly went over to Ash and gave her a tight hug, she then hugged him back as tears streamed down his face.

Jack said “Now we get you out of here and find a way to break this curse. I made you a promise that I would keep you safe and I intend to keep that promise.”

He then released Ash from his grip and stood up while taking a few steps back.  Jack stood silently when the buzzard went off and fear immediately filled Ash as she cratiled herself in fear. Electro and Death quickly went over to Ash, they squatted next to her for comfort as she had the look of terror on her face. 

Electro quickly said “I am going to go and see if there is anyone that will help us get Ash out of here.” 

Jack said with a hint of worry in his voice, “Are you sure they will even help her. It's only been two days and  to make things worse, Slit will come after her.”

“Not if he is dead,” said Death with evil intent. 

Ash coughed as she said in pain, “No… no killing plea-” she then passed out from shock in an instant. 

Jack then said “We will do it away from Ash, she wont know we did it.”

Electro said “It would be for the best, she won't be safe unless he is dead.”

Jack and Death nodded their heads in understanding and Electro stood up from squatting to the ground. He walked out of the cell and over to the lunch room in silence. Once Electro reached the lunch room, he stood in the corner of the room where everyone in the room could see him.

Electro said in a slightly elevated voice, “Ok everyone, I need you to listen up.” immediately, everyone in the room looked towards Electros direction, he continued “I assume you saw her but Ash is in her cell, she has been cursed with the worst curse, none to man and creatchers. I don't know what kind of curse it is but I don't know the name of this curse though.” 

Suddenly everyone in the lunchroom dropped their silverware instantly in shock about what they just heard. 

One of the men said “It sounds like she has the Dragons curse.”

Electro then said “I believe you are right and that is another reason why we need to get her out of here.”

Another one of the men asked “Why did you tell us that?” There was a long moment of silence and then he continued, “You know that we might die if we even try to escape.”

“He can't hurt you if he's dead Dark and you know that. I have a plan to get her and everyone else out of this place but we have to kill Slit.” Electro said with confidence.

Dark said with a small hint of a smile, “Hell, you can count me in if it means that I can kill that bastard.”

Suddenly, everyone in the lunchroom except for one person said “Hell yea, you can count me in.” 

The person that didn't volunteer to help then said “I will only help if you let me take Slit's eyes.”

“I can work with that.” Electro said with a slightly uneasy voice.

Everyone in the lunchroom discussed with each other how they were going to get Ash out, after a few hours, Electro discussed his plan for energy. Jack listened carefully with his super hearing and told Death what he heard Electro was saying to the other gladiators. Every one  nodded in understanding as they waited for their plan to head into motion. Electro quickly went back to Ash’s cell and sat down next to her as she looked like she hadn't slept for months. Ash slowly leaned her head on Electros shoulder and slowly fell a sleep

As soon as Ash fell asleep, Jack asked “So, is it happening?”

Electro said with a slightly sad voice, “Yea, the plan is in motion and all we have to do is wait.”

Death asked in confusion as they sat near Ash against the wall, “I know the plan but wait for what exactly?”

“You’ll see when the time comes.” Said Electro with a wide grin on his face.

Death looked at Ash as she pulled out a small leather book and stared at the book for a long moment. After a few hours, Ash slowly opened sleepy eyes from exhaustion, she looked over at Death. 

She stared at the book in her hands and asked with a slight cough, “What is that?”

Death looked at Ash and replied with a slight smile as she put one of her hands on Ash’s shoulder “My um… My mother gave me this diary before she left me here when I was seven . The funny thing is that I never even wrote in this diary, not even once.”

Ash then asked “Can I see it?”

Death slowly handed Ash the book carefully as if it was fragile. Ash took the book from Death's hand with a bright smile and took a look at it like the book was a new toy that she had just gotten.

Death asked in confusion, “What is so funny?”

Ash giggled slightly as she replied “You said that you didn’t write in this diary but your powers did the righting for you.”

Death looked at Ash with a puzzled look and Ash said “Here, let me show you what I mean.”

She then showed Death one of the pages. Death saw that there was writing in the book about every important and stressful thing that happened in her life.

Death said with a smile as she moved her arm around Ash’s shoulder and healed her with an embrace, “You know what, the diary is all yours. If you are ever stressed out I want you to read a page and maybe it will give you some comfort.”

“Are you sure Death? I mean your mother gave you this diary and it must mean a lot to you right?” asked Ash with concern. 

Death asked “I am sure Ash and you know what?” 

Ash asked with curiosity, “What is it?”

Death said with an even wider smile, “I have always wanted a sister.”

Ash thought for a moment and asked “Do you want me to be your little sister?”

Death immediately nodded her head yes and Ash quickly said with joy, “I love it big sister Death. Thank you so much.”

She chuckled for a moment and kissed Ash on her forehead for only a second, she then said “Your welcome little sister.”

They both chuckled at the same time and they hugged each other with delight for a few minutes. They then released each other and Ash wiped the tears of joy that streamed down her face. In that small moment, there was joy that filled both the lunch room and Ash’s cell but she knew that the joy that she felt would not last long. Ash thought to herself, when I always find joy in my life it never lasts long. Ash slowly sat up from how she was sitting. Suddenly, there was a loud banging sound like a thunderstorm. A few minutes later, there was a dripping sound and immediately Ash knew that it was raining. The ceiling was dripping in different areas of the ceiling as she waited for Electros plan to go into motion, she waited for the worst thing to happen.
