I have decided, I am leaving Jaff on the mountain with a knot in one of his pant pockets. I just don’t want to hurt him in any way or form but I feel like I am growing weaker by the minute but it is not like I am losing strength, more like I am losing consciousness and I don’t know what will happen when I am no longer conscious. That is why I am leaving Jaff behind and I am getting as far away from here as I can.

Slowly, the sun started to rise over the mountain and light spread across the land, Ash slowly woke from the sun as it shined over her and the rest of the land that sat under the mountain. She slowly and carefully lifted her wings up into the air and stretched them for the longest moment. Jaff moaned in his sleep as he rolled over to his side that was facing away from the sun and yawned exhaustion. Ash slowly got up from the ground and a large indent sat where she once laid down. Ash quickly walked a few miles away until she was far enough that Ash felt unconfearing enough that she wouldn’t wake Jaff up. She quickly started to flap her wings, as she flapped her wings a large gust of wind sercoled in an instant. Ash quickly lifted into the air and the snow beneath her was blown away as the wind that was caused from her wings sercoled near the ground. After a few seconds of looking at Jaff, Ash quickly flew away into the distant sky until she couldn’t be seen any more. Six hours later, Jaff woke up from the cold feeling of the chill breeze that touched his skin, he quickly got up from the cold snowy ground and his body started to shiver as he stood up from the ground. Jaff quickly looked around for Ash but didn’t see her anywhere in the vicinity of his surroundings.

Jaff quickly yelled in a concerned voice “Ash! Ash, where are you?”

There was no response, instantly the cold air hit Jaffs lungs as he inhaled and exhaled heavily. Jaff thought to himself, I shouldn’t be feeling cold with my transformation. He quickly felt the top of his head and noticed that his wolf-like ears were gone, the human ears were gone. Jaff looked behind him to see he no longer had a wolf-like tail any more. He sighed in relief as he quickly stuck both of his hands in his pant pockets and felt a piece of paper in his left pocket. He slowly pulled the paper out and noticed that the paper was folded up, Jaff quickly unfolded the paper to see that it was a note from Ash.

Dear Jaff, I don’t know if you can forgive me but I have my reasons for leaving you behind. I know you would have tried to stop me from leaving and that is why I didn’t tell you that I was leaving you behind. I won’t tell you where I am going but I want you to do me a favor, I want you to take Jeff home to his people and maybe his family if he has one. Please Jaff, don’t come looking for me, I don't know if I will be in control when or if you find me. The next town isn’t too far from where you are, just start heading down the mountain, the town is huge so you can't miss it. Sincerely your friend and hopefully family, Ash Fire.

Jaff quickly started walking as he reached the mountain as Jaff got closer and closer to the bottom of the mountain, the altitude got lighter and he started to breathe easier. He slowly reached the bottom of the mountain after four hours of walking and climbing down some cliffs.

Jaff sighed as he said to himself, “Alright, I made it down the mountain, now I just need to get to that town that Ash was talking about.”

Suddenly, Jaff held his sides in pain as he started walking through the dense woods that sat in front of him. After walking three miles in the woods, he reached the entrance of the town that Ash mentioned in her letter. The large stone pillar gate with a sign dangling by two small chains in the middle of the entrance that read, welcome to Winter town. Jaff hissed in pain as the overwhelming pain from  the broken bones filled him as he started walking into the town slowly in pain.

Jaff asked out loud in a low whispered voice, “Winter town, who came up with that name?”

A woman's voice echoed in the distinct as she yelled in frustration, “What do you mean you haven't found Jeff? He was going to be an imperial soldier for god sake and you are saying you can’t find him?”
