Dragon's curse

chapter fifty one

I think I made a mistake, I showed Ann and Shain my true form when it is a full moon. I don’t usually show anyone that side of me, to be honest I am surprised that I am not being killed yet. I am glad everyones alright but I can’t seem to remember what happened  in between when I was talking to the wendigo in the living room up until I reached for Shain’s leg.

Jaff slept in a medical bed in what seemed to be a hospital that sat three blocks down the street from Ann’s and Shain’s house. Ann sat silently in a small chair in one of the corners of the room while Shain paced back and forth outside of the room as he waited for the doctor to come out of the room. Jaff moaned in pain as the doctor stitched up his open wounds, he slowly stuck the small metal hook through his skin carefully while sealing Jaff’s third cut on his shoulder. Once the doctor was finished sealing the injuries, Jaff quickly sat up in an instant as he woke up in pain as his whole body felt sore. 

The doctor quickly said “Easy now, just lay back down. You are still hurt.”

Jaff slowly laid back down on the bed as he watched the doctor leave the room, once the doctor left the room Jaff got up from the bed instantly and walked into the bathroom that connected to his room. The light slowly flickered on as Jaff flipped the light switch. Jaff noticed that there was a mirror on the wall that sat above the sink in the middle of the wall. He slowly thought to himself, why do I feel like I haven't changed back into my human form and something happened to me last night?

“How odd.” Jaff thought aloud as he looked at his hands.

Jaff instantly noticed that his hands were slightly back to normal, his nails looked like werewolves claws but they were shorter than usual. 

Jaff thought out loud, “I don’t feel my tail so that is good but I can’t tell if I have a tail or not at this point.”

Jaff quickly looked into the mirror, he was surprised to see that his wolf-like ears were still on his head and he noticed his tail flicker from behind him in the mirror. Jaff instantly scremd in surprise  as he fell backwards onto the floor while waking Ann up in the praces, Shain quickly ran into the room as Ann got from the chair quickly and ran into the bathroom to see Jaff sitting on the floor. 

Ann asked in a concerned voice, “Are you alright Jaff?”

She instantly noticed the ears and his tail, Ann quickly understood why Jaff screamed. At that moment, Ann felt bad about what happened to Jaff but she had no idea on how to help him with his situation.

Jaff slowly got up off of the ground as he turned to face Ann as he quickly said in a surprised but shaky voice, “I um… I’m sorry that I screamed. My ear and tail just um… caught me off guard that's all.

Ann couldn't help but laugh for the longest moment before Shain ran into the bathroom, after a few more seconds she stopped laughing and smiled with delight as she looked at Jaff. 

Jaff sighed and asked as he pointed to his ears, “Now the question is, how am I going to hide these?”

He scratched the back of his head in frustration as he sighed once more and walked out of the bathroom over to his bed. Ann and Shain followed him out of the bathroom as they watched Jaff sit down on the bed in pain from all of his injuries. 

Shain said calmly, “There is something I want to ask you Jaff.”

Jaff slowly asked with a confused look, “Go ahead, what is it that you want to ask me?”

“Wasn’t your hair brown or black?” Shain asked in confusion.

Jaff smiled as he replied “You noticed that hmm, my hair changed from brown to black before this but now it seems my hair is permanently white now… I think.”
