Halos dalawang linggo yata ang kinain ng Sport Fest ng Vallejo. Natapos na ang sa pageant bilang opening event ngunit ang sports ay ngayong linggo pa lang gaganapin habang ang Valle High Night naman ay sa huling araw ng Sport Fest sa biyernes.

Kahit na ilang araw na ang nakalipas mula noong makoronahan ako bilang Ms. Vallejo 2021 ay hindi pa rin nauubos ang mga estudyanteng bumabati saakin. Ganoon rin ang nangyayari kay Derick bilang siya rin ang nanalo ng title.

Lalo tuloy dumami ang fanatics ng nonexistent love team namin ng baklang iyon. Pinapabayaan nalang namin dahil alam naman naming pareho na wala lang iyon at alam din niya kung sino talaga ang gusto ko.

"Any updates with your status with Ella?" Derick asked while we are walking to our third class with Professor Thomas

Ella is our code name for Professor Thomas. Idea iyon ni Derick na kinuha niya pa sa second name ni Ma'am which is Gianiella, para raw pwede namin itong pag-usapan kahit na nakaharap pa siya.

"Zero. Anong update ba iyan? Hindi ako informed."

"Apart from you being hopeless case, napakaindenial mo pa, Thalia. You already know what I mean."

We reached the designated classroom for our third period and there were only a few students inside. I guess we came in early, kahit si Ma'am ay wala pa.

"Okay, fine. She's still truly, madly, deeply in love with her hot chic of a girlfriend, Der." bagsak balikat na tugon ko

"Well, can't blame her. Ang ganda kaya ng girlfriend-"

"Sino ba talagang kinakampihan mo?" pagputol ko sa kaibigan

"Nandiyan na Ella mo." marahang siko nito saakin

Simula noong nasaksihan niya ang pang-aasar ko kay Ma'am sa corridor ay hindi na niya ako tinantanan na tuksuhin rin sa propesor. Minsan ay sinasabayan pa ni Miss Noelle.

Mula sa pagkakatitig sa tiled floor ng room ay mabilis na umangat ang tingin ko sa harapan. There I saw the woman we were just talking about, dressed in her usual corporate attire.

Naramdaman naman yata nito ang tingin ko dahil umangat din ang mga nanunuri nitong mga mata mula sa desk patungo saakin. I smiled widely at her but she just looked away.

"Sungit." bulong ko sa sarili na ikinatawa naman ng katabi ko

"I still remember the first time you told me that there's nothing likeable about her. Take a quick look at yourself now." patawa-tawang sabi nito, dahilan para makatanggap siya ng marahang sapak mula saakin

Yes, I had previously told him that, but it was because I was so outraged after our first encounter. I despised her guts and the manner she spoke, as if she rules the entire institution.

"So? Things, as well as perspectives, can shift. There's no need to remind me of that, Derick."

He shrugged and sighed. "I'll pretend it's not noticeable by the way you look at her since day one."

Professor began her lecture and as usual, it was a challenge for me to concentrate on what she was mentioning. My entire focus is on the way her lips are moving while she talks and how her hips gracefully sways as she walks.

"Miss Revamonte, eyes up here!"

Nabalik lang ako sa ulirat nang lumipad sa direksyon ko ang whiteboard eraser na kanina lang ay hawak ni Ma'am. Damn! Muntik na, mabuti at nasalo ni Derick.

"I'm sorry, Professor." I said, smirking at her as she glared at me before proceeding with the discussion.

Vacant ang klase namin ngayon kay Miss Noelle to give way for the start of sporting games. Last game ang department volleyball team namin later and they are up against the College of Liberal Arts and Social Works.
