It was ten PM the following night and Meredith walked into the tunnels carrying her bakery box.[i] Derek had left her a voice mail that he had left something for her in her locker earlier.[/i] Cristina was lying on a gurney and Meredith sat on the one next to her.

Meredith asked, "Couldn't find an on call room?"

Cristina replied, "Didn't bother to look. I'm not down for the night anyway. I have to check on a patient in an hour. What's in the box?"

Meredith opened the box and saw two mini cheese cakes and two brownies and two forks. She smiled and said, "Derek left me baked goods. I guess he knew I would share with you. Here. Try these."

Cristina sat up and took one of each from the box Meredith offered and a fork.

"Damn. He spoils you."

Meredith ate the cheesecake and moaned a little. "Yeah he does."

Cristina bit into the brownie and said, "Jesus. These are good. I forgot what good was from all the crappy hospital food we eat. Some of us don't get Shepherds home cooking."

Meredith laughed and bit into her brownie and admitted, "He takes very good care of me."

Cristina looked at Meredith closely and asked, "Meredith. I mean, I know the sex must be hot, but what the hell are you doing?"

Meredith just stares at Cristina and eats her cheese cake and brownie.

Cristina says, "Oh my God! You're falling for him."

Meredith rolls her eyes and says, "I am not."

"Oh you so are."

"No. I am not."

Cristina said, "You so are. Damn it. You poor girl."

"You know. It's just that he's just so..and I'm just.....I'm having a hard time."

"Wow. You 're all ...uh, mushy and...warm and full of secret feelings."

"I hate you! I don't know why I shared my brownie and cheese cake with you!"

"You're a nice person. You can't help but share. So..um....how hot is the sex?"

"Cristina!"

"What? Come on. I am not getting any. Help a girl out with a few details."

"You are Burke aren't...?"

"Nope. We are done. He dumped me. What is in these brownies? Truth serum? I am talking like a damn girl!"

"I thought he got over the cell phone in your lab coat thing?"

"He did. His big ego is shattered because I fell asleep."

"You fell asleep?"

"During sex."

Meredith said sarcastically, "Really?"

"You know Meredith. Leave the sarcasm to me. Really. It doesn't suit you."

Meredith laughed and asked, "How is that possible? I mean...."

Cristina shrugged her shoulders and said, "I was tired. And besides I was finished. I finished twice!"

"Oh Cris. I am sorry. I know you must have had some feelings for him."

"It's for the best. We are complete opposites. He reminds me of DePalma a little. He tries to rein it in, but it's simmering under the surface. He is a closet male chauvinist pig. He thinks women should only be allowed in the kitchen and the bedroom. He has control issues and can't stand that a woman might be a better surgeon than him. He can't tolerate taking orders from a female. And don't get me started on his momma! Fucking momma's boy!"
