The alarm blared and Derek moaned sharply, "Ah....just shut if off please!" He buried his head under a pillow."

Meredith leaned over and shut the alarm off.

"Could you not snap at me?" She lay back down on her side and sighed loudly.

Derek grumbled, "I didn't sleep much."

"Maybe it's because you were too busy shoving me every five minutes."

"I wasn't shoving you. I was nudging you to turn off the very bright light."

Meredith said, "I was studying. It's a book light. A teeny tiny book light. It was never in your eyes."

Derek said, "It's cute but it doesn't work." Derek rolled on his side and spooned her. He felt her tense as he nuzzled her neck.

"Ouch!"

Confused Derek asked, "What? Was I on your hair?"

Meredith said, "You need to shave."

Derek said frankly, "I didn't hear any complaints last night!"

Meredith huffed and said, "Well, that was five hours ago and I do have whisker burn on my thighs!"

Derek said, "I'm too tired to shave." He again nuzzled her neck.

Meredith threw off the covers and said, "Ah....that's rough. It's now physically impossible for me to kiss your face!" She got up and went into the bathroom to shower.

Derek scowled at the ceiling as he lay there with a massive hard on and no relief. He guessed she wouldn't be looking for company in the shower. He scratched his beard and thought it wasn't so rough.

Mark and Derek were sitting at the kitchen table eating muesli when Meredith walked it.

Mark grumbled to Meredith, "Good morning."

Meredith said softy, "Morning."

Meredith sighed and opened the refrigerator to grab a pepsi. She saw that there were none and sighed again. Crap. She was keeping up with the laundry. Well just barely. She had made sure they had clothes for tomorrow and that was it. She needed a major caffeine fix. She poured herself some coffee to go.

Derek shook the almost empty cereal box and asked, "There is some left. Do you want to get a bowl?"

Meredith glanced at the milk on the table and scrunched up her nose. "Um...No. I think I will just grab something on the way."

Derek said, "Okay. I'll be ready in ten minutes. I'll just take a quick shower."

Meredith said, "I'm going now. Um...we should drive separately today. In case one of us gets stuck late."

Derek asked sharply, "Meredith. You're not going to see your mom are you? You don't have time for that. You will be late."

Meredith said as she quickly walked out. "No. Just getting something from the drive thru."

Derek said loudly, "Not very healthy Meredith."

Derek poured the last remaining crumbs into his bowl.

Mark looked into Derek's bowl and said, "Not exactly leaving her anything to eat are you?"

Derek said, "She hates this shit anyway."

Mark stood up and closely examined the milk carton. "Shit! This expired four days ago! Are you trying to kill us?"

Derek mumbled, "Sorry."
