Meredith stood in front of the closed door staring at the name plate. She shifted around on her feet and twisted her watch nervously. She raised her hand to knock on the door and then pulled it back.

Dr. Wyatt had seen Dr. Grey get off the elevator with an expression on her face like she was on a mission. She watched her from the nursing station for a few moments as she stood in front of her door. She watched as she started to knock and then must have decided not to. Dr. Wyatt walked down the hall towards her office as Dr. Grey took a deep breath and knocked on her door.

Dr. Wyatt walked up and said, "Dr. Grey. Can I help you?"

Meredith spun around startled, "Um..I just....I was just....."

Dr. Wyatt smiled and said as she opened her door, "Why don't you come in?"

Meredith stepped hesitantly into the large comfortable light filled office and looked around. She stated at the fish tank for a few minutes and didn't say anything.

Finally Dr. Wyatt said patiently, "Dr. Grey. I have someone coming in about five minutes from now. Can I help you with something?"

Dr. Wyatt watched as Dr. Grey seemed to have an internal struggle with herself and then she squared her shoulders and said, "I would like to make an appointment. I am going on vacation so I guess anytime after the 15th."

Dr. Wyatt opened up her appointment book and asked, "How about the 20th? At four o'clock?"

Meredith said hesitantly, "Okay."

Dr. Wyatt scribbled in her book and shut it.

Meredith asked, "That's it?"

"That's it." Dr. Wyatt knew that one of the hardest parts of therapy was admitting you needed it and then making that first appointment.

Meredith quickly said, "Okay. Thanks." She spun around and quickly left the room.

Dr. Wyatt said after her," Enjoy your vacation Dr. Grey."

Meredith practically ran to the locker room. That had been an almost spontaneously made decision. She quickly changed and grabbed her bag before she could think about it too much.

She hurried through the lobby and heard Dr. Bailey shout at her.

"Dr. Grey!"

Meredith stopped and turned around. What was it today, on this last intern day, that she could not get out of this hospital?

She walked over to where Dr. Bailey was standing by the reception desk.

"Yes Dr. Bailey?"

Dr. Bailey handed her a form and Meredith glanced at it. It was a personnel form with name, date of birth, address, phone number, etc.

Meredith asked confused, "What do you want me to do with this? Nothing has changed."

Dr. Bailey said, "You never completed it. I'm guessing DePalma didn't like administrative work."

Meredith scrunched up her face and said, "I completed it."

"You most certainly did not." She pointed to the empty space by emergency contact.

"Oh." A year ago, she hadn't had anybody to put down.

Dr. Bailey pulled out a pen and handed it to her.

Meredith took the pen and quickly wrote Derek Shepherd as first contact and Cristina Yang as second contact and she put friend next to the relationship box for Cristina.

She handed it back to Dr. Bailey.

Dr. Bailey glanced at it and raised an eyebrow at her and handed it back.
