A/N: Oh my gosh Ya'll two chapters in two days. I am on a roll. But for now this will be all this week as work is picking up again. Might try to update on Mondays and Tuesdays. Athiss sighed as he brought his bottom lip into his mouth as he heard " What are you doing here?" Closing his eyes he hated that the voice that greeted him was the one person he wish would just disappear. Turning his head slightly as he let his lip go he spoke " Making sure my best friend is comfortable what about you Layla?"

He watched her as she smirked before she bent down and whispered " I am here to see my babies daddy and the one person who you could not hold on to." Athiss smirked as he whispered, " You are only here to cause issues. Honestly what's the point of being such an ugly human being that you get off on making sure others suffer?" Turning his head away from her he whispered, "Besides who else did you sleep with when those kids were conceived? I used to think that it was only him, but knowing you and how evil of a person you are i highly doubt it."

Athiss placed his hands behind his head as he hummed waiting to see what she would say or do he was amazed when she grabbed his face and gritted out " You know nothing you lowlife. No one wants you, or needs you to be alive. I used to think you were the whole package but now I know that you are nothing but scum one who doesn't deserve happiness, love or family. "

Looking into her face Athiss chuckled as he spoke " Oh hun, I already know all of those things. But we are talking about your actions not mine. You seem to think that the words you say to me will mean anything. They don't, and will never. You are nothing but insignificant."

Grabbing her hands he eyed her as he stood up and whispered, " You may have broken me and Vaughn up but it seems you cant keep him. Its been years and only when I wanted a divorce did it happen. Not because of him but because of me. If what you all had was something he would have done it himself." Straightening up he went to take a step when he heard " I will kill you, and next time I wont miss."

Tilting his head Athiss looked at her and smirked, " Even when I am gone Layla he will never be yours. Even if that means he loves someone else, a man or a woman as long as Vaughn is happy that is all that matters, or has ever mattered to me. You seem to think that if its not you, its me. But news flash hun, you were nothing but a place to stick his cock. A warm hole that he could get lost in. " Running his fingers through his hair he spoke clearer, ""You think you know him but you don't. I can see that he had a problem and yes, i allowed him to hide behind that but want to know something I love him and I always will want whats best for him. I will never try to keep him locked up. Thats what love is letting someone go and then if they return they are truly yours. I knew leaving was a gamble, but we both needed to learn and grow. I feel like I have and I am seeing glimpses that the man that will always hold my heart has grown as well."

Turning his head away from her as he walked he continued to speak. "Layla, hit me with all you have I will fight you with all that I am. Let the last person standing when this is all done be the winner. "

As he made his way to the door he heard her screetch " He will be mine and you will be dead ten feet under."

Stepping in shaking his head Athiss made his way to the check-in desk and spoke to the nurses about talking to Cheryl's doctor. The nurse stated that she would page the doctor. As Athiss nodded he pulled his phone out as it vibrated in his pocket. Looking down at the screen as a message popped up he read the scrolling text " Why should I be their Athiss when I am not the one that she wants?" Quickly clicking on the text, he responded, "But you may not get to say goodbye, do you want that to be a regret Sammy?" Just as he clicked send a voice behind him cleared.
