The group outside the area where the little baby was fighting for his life started to grow. Most people by now were giving up hope, because of how long it seemed to be taking. But in the crowd of many family and friends from both sides sat a man with a relaxed expression plastered on his face. Looking straight ahead to the blinking light above the door. He had hope, he knew that everything would be okay. For the simple fact, that the child was in the best hands possible.

Just as he went to take in a breath of air he heard sirens going off through the door. He knew that something was wrong, because the once chattering hall, and the noises behind the door got deathly quiet. Just as he went to stand up he heard: "Were going to lose our child Vaughn, and it's all your fault."

Tilting his head to the side he eyed the woman who seemed to be enjoying this far more than any mother should.

Normally, you would think that she'd have been crying, demanding to know what was going on with her child. But no- all she did was sit there and say a line like that. A line that seemed like she was talking about the weather outside.

It took all his willpower not to reach over and punch the woman. He couldn't believe that he had done this to him and Athiss, if only had known when to walk away. He hated that this is what he had made their lives come to. Why did he think that sleeping and falling in love with this woman was what he wanted and needed? Especially when he had someone that loved and needed him to be strong for them.

If only... he had the nerve back then. Then maybe things in his life would be different, and he wouldn't have had to deal with this psycho.

This wasn't the time to be acting like you didn't care. Hell, he knew that everyone behind that doors, and the doors behind the main one were doing everything in their power to make sure the baby had a healthy and happy life. And yet, his own fucking mother was out here putting blame on him, and acting like it wasn't a big deal at all if he survived or not.

Standing up Vaughn went to walk away from her when he felt her fingers wrap around his wrist. Shivering at the contact, all he wanted to do was pull away and get as far away from her as humanly possible. He knew that if he took a small step forward her fingers would fall from him, but something in the way she touched him told him that he should just- Jaxon watched with wide eyed as his best friend pulled away from Laylia's grip, and the man knew what was going to happen before it exploded through the hallway, all eyes on the pair.

Jaxon stood abruptly up trying to reach for Vaughn before he exploded. But the moment his hand contacted the man he knew that he was too late. So, pulling his fingers back he watched quietly as the scene in front of him unfolded. "Don't you dare touch me Laylia."

"I don't care what you've told these people, and why you told my parents to come."

"What game are you playing at? Because whatever it is I am not willing to play. Not anymore, I told you the only person that I want is-".
