Vaughn quickly slid his favorite pair of sunglasses onto his head so that his eyes were covered. The last thing that he wanted was for anyone to see him so utterly broken and afraid. Besides he felt like he was just moments away from breaking down.

His heart hurt. It hurt worse than he would have ever imagined. Is this what it felt like to hold the one you loved again after almost four years? No, this isn't what a normal person would feel. They would have felt elated.

But for Vaughn he knew that the touching, the tenderness he was trying to portray was forbidden. Athiss had made it abundantly clear while they were fucking, not making love. That is what this was to Athiss nothing but a fuck. It meant nothing to the other man.

Vaughn couldn't believe that this had happened. This was a miscalculation on his part. But then again he was never one known for using his head. Okay, he did use his head. But not the one that he should have used.

It was like he was possessed by a demon, the demon that said do what Athiss wanted. Even if he knew that it would hurt the both in the long run. Vaughn lived in that moment. And now here he was dealing with the aftereffects.

Taking a deep breath Vaughn scowled as his eyes took in the award hanging on the wall across from him. He felt like such an idiot, the only reason he came here was to offer his love; his husband a ride home.

Slowly gnawing on his bottom lip he sighed loudly just as a young man and woman walked by. He hoped that they wouldn't comment, that they would just go on their merry way. After all he didn't wish to be around anyone right now. His emotions were too raw to exposed.

Just as he looked to his left he saw the man looking at him weirdly. But before he could comment the man spoke: "You look so familiar. Where do I know you from?" Vaughn sighed loudly as he slowly ran his hands through his hair. As he did he spoke: "Do you watch porn?"

Smirking softly Vaughn watched as the man looked at him as if he had just said something that was poison. The man's face hardened and he spoke loud: "No, why would I? That stuff is vulgar."

Vaughn wanted to laugh, because honestly that was the only way that this man would have known him. After all he's never seen this guy in his life. He would have remembered. The man oozed asshole. But he would never say that out loud. After all he's been down that road before and it never ends good.

Slowly letting his hands drop from his hair Vaughn watched as the man grumbled and stormed farther down the hall before he mumbled something and turned the corner. It took all of Vaughn's willpower not to call out the man who was walking next to a small brunette.

But he wouldn't ruin someone else's relationship to call someone out on the obvious lie.
