Athiss gnawed on his lip as he thought hard about everything that was going wrong and right in his life. He wasn't sure what he wanted or believed in anymore. Everything was so confusing that it made his head spin. Shaking his head gently to dispel all the twirling thoughts he approached the room that he had placed Vaughn and the children in when he, in a lapse of uncertainty, brought them here. Honestly, if he was being honest with himself, he was shocked that he had even brought them here. It was his lapse of uncertainty that made him push all his emotions aside and extend a helping hand to his husband.

Even though he felt like all Vaughn was doing was flaunting the kids that he possibly had with Laylia in front of him, he knew that he was being immature about the whole situation. But he couldn't help it. His heart was in turmoil and thinking rationally wasn't one of his qualities when it came to matters of the heart. However, now that he had moved on from hating Vaughn, he knew that he could at least see those two kids as they were. Kids stuck in the middle of a situation that they could not control.

Truthfully, the kids had started to grow on him. Not in a way that made him want to play daddy, but a way that made him want to make sure that these kids didn't get hurt because of the actions of their mother and the only father figure that they knew.

Taking a deep breath as he started past the room, he froze mid-step as he overheard the ending of a conversation that he was sure he was not supposed to hear. Gently closing his eyes his fist balled tightly at his side as he swore, he heard the she-devil tell whomever was in that room that he had a child with Cheryl. Why she knew was what perplexed him. It was not her right to know anything of his private life and the fact that she thought that she could utter whatever she wanted and get away with it pissed him off. He could feel his anger rising by the way his breaths came in and out in quick succession, and the way that his eyes opened and closed without seeing anything that was in front of him.

Honestly, he didn't think that hearing just one sentence could make his emotional dam rupture in a way that made him want to storm in there and demand why any of them thought that they had any right to have a pow-wow about him when he wasn't even involved. And honestly, he was sure that the way that he lived his life was none of their concern. It wasn't as if he was hurting anyone but himself. He was sick of running away from things when things got uncomfortable or hard. He hated that the way that he dealt with them is pretending that everything was alright.

Besides, he knew, if he just walked away from this now, that nothing would change.

Drawing in air as he walked closer to the door Athiss yanked the door open with as much power as he could, not even caring when it slammed against the wall, sending chunks of drywall flying. Smirking slightly, he stepped into the room trying his best not to laugh at all their expressions. He knew that not many people were privy to this side of him but now he didn't care. He was pissed off and with good reason too. As he continued into the room, he eyed everyone for a moment before locking eyes with his father.
