Fighting For the Doctors Affection: Chapter Two- Athiss

Athiss slowly ran his hands through his hair as he took a deep breath of the fresh air. As he allowed his eyes to look up at the sky he noticed just how bright the moon was shining. Blinking rapidly Athiss wondered "Why did it have to be Christmas yet again?"

If it was up to him he would make sure that this bloody holiday never existed to him again. Other people can celebrate it all they wanted. But to him it was dead. And yet it seemed like everywhere he went wanted to remind him of that fact.

It wasn't as if he needed a reminder of what this day was- what it meant.

Stretching his arms up above his head Athiss allowed the cool breeze to soothe him. He always loved being outdoors. And tonight was no exception. But sadly he had places to be. And it wasn't here standing in front of the hospital.

Sighing softly Athiss made his way over to his car- his baby. As he did Athiss made sure to smile at the people that he passed. No matter how moody he was, He always made sure that he was polite. After all it wasn't their fault that he was in a bad mood. So why take it out on them?

As Athiss approached his baby, he slowly placed his hand on the door putting in his code, as the car opened.

Sighing softly Athiss allowed his eyes to take in the package that sat on the passenger seat untouched, and that would be how it would remain. He didn't have any want or need to know what was inside of it. When he got home it would be placed with the others, just like the years before.

Slowly sitting down Athiss closed his car door as he allowed his head to hit the steering wheel as his hands began to shake.

He hated that even after all this time. That this day did things to his mind- to his body. He hasn't even taken the time to try and move on. He just couldn't; and that was pissing him off to no end at the moment.

"Why did he have to be so miserable?" Not when it wasn't his fault that things ended like they did. All he had ever wanted was to make things work. But just like then he still firmly believed that it took two people to make something last not just one begging for the other ones attention. Love didn't work like that.
