Ch. 14 - "We're going to lose."

• Taylor's P.O.V •

"Rachael stop! Get off of Hayes!" I yell and pull her off of him. "Tay! Stop! He was calling me a liar!" She yells and sticks her tongue out at him.

Maya looks at me awkwardly and then pulls out money, "I'm uh, gonna go get some drinks. Taylor, you want one?" She asks me, I nod and tell her to get me any flavor.

"Okay, what are you talking about? Why was he calling you a liar?" I ask Rachael. "I was telling him on how I was perfectly fine, but he kept saying that I was lying and that I should just tell him the truth." She crosses her arms and rolls her eyes at Hayes.

"Okay, uh. Hayes, say you're sorry." I sit up and face him, he looks at me and his eyes go wide. "What?! Why me!? She was lying!" He yells.

Rachael gets up and slaps him on his head, I get up and pull her away from him. "Don't hit, be mature and act your age. He's only 14, Rachael." I snap.

She rolls her eyes and sticks her tongue out at Hayes, it's funny on how she's my sister, we don't even act alike. "Taylor, your frappe." Maya says and hands me my drink, I kiss her cheek and start drinking my beverage.

"Haha, Maylor." Rachael smirks at Hayes and he smirks back at her, they're so weird, they were just fighting seconds ago and yet they're already friends again. What, are they bipolar?

"Maya." I say, she looks up at me in response. "I love you." I tell her, she smiles and kisses my cheek. "I love you too." She says back.

"Awwwww!" Rachael and Hayes scream at the same time, I chuckle and pull Maya closer to me, she looks into my eyes and smiles. Her eyes are so wow, just by looking at them makes me feel butterflies in my stomach.

I interlock our fingers and quickly go onto my phone, I click the camera app and face it towards us. She looks up and I take a quick picture, "Taylor, I wasn't ready." She wines, I chuckle and take another picture once she's smiling.

I look over at Hayes who is playing on his phone, and then I look over at Rachael and she's stuffing cake into her mouth meanwhile complaining on how she doesn't have a boyfriend.

"Ugh, I hate couples, they're the worst." Rachael groans, I laugh and so does Hayes. She looks at Maya and I and rolls her eyes making a disgusted face. "What? Am I gross to you?" Maya snaps at Rachael.

"No, I only did that because you guys are a couple." Rachael mumbles and rolls her eyes, she does that a lot when she's frustrated. "What's wrong with that?" Maya snaps at Rachael again.

"Nothing." Rachael mumbles and gets up out of her seat, I look at Maya who is rolling her eyes. I get up quickly and chase after Rachael, she stops and turns around to look at me.

"I'm sor-" "Why is Maya being a bitch lately? Did you do something?" She crosses her arms waiting for my answer. "No, and she's not a-" "She is a bitch." She states and walks out of Starbucks.

I groan and walk back to where Maya and Hayes are, I look around and notice Hayes is gone. "Where did Hayes go?" I ask. "He went chasing after Rachael." She replies typing stuff down on her phone.

"Uh, Maya?" I sit down across from her and take her hands in mine, placing her phone down onto the table and looking into her eyes. "Yeah Taylor?" She smiles.

"Can you stop being rude to my sister? It would mean a lot, she has gone through a lot and she doesn't need someone-" She sighs and takes her hands out of my grip. "I'm sorry Taylor, I've been stressed lately with my essays and stuff, I guess I just forgot that I can be rude sometimes."

"It's okay babe, I love you." I lean over the table and kiss her, she kisses back and smiles into the kiss before pulling away. "I love you too."
