Ch. 17 - "How are you awake?"

• Taylor's P.O.V •

From Matt: Your sisters upset dude, better hurry and get there

To Matt: Okay thanks bro

I run down the hallway and look at the numbers labeled on each door, finally I find the one where she's staying and start knocking.

"Ugh! What!?" She yells through the door. I laugh. "Rache, it's me. Open the door." I say. After hearing her mutter words she finally opens the door.

"What?" She snaps before closing the door. "Nothing, I just wanted to see if you're okay." I say, plopping down onto one of the beds.

"No I'm not, my stomach aches, I have a headache, I'm tired and I just want ice cream." She groans.

Ah shit, I shouldn't have asked that question.

"Well.. Here, lay down, I'll be back, okay?" "Ugh, fine." She groans, I laugh and take the keys off of the nightstand.

"Where are you even going?" She asks. "To get you some ice cream, baby sister." I cheekily smile and walk out of the room. I get my phone out of my pocket and dial up Matt's number.

"Yo Matt." I say once he picks up. "Hey Taylor, sup bro?" He asks. "Listen, I'm going to go and pick up some ice cream for my sister. Can you maybe stay with her?" I ask.

"..Okay, but why?" He asks. "It's her time of the month." I laugh, he goes quiet for a second and then bursts out laughing. "Alright, I'll be there man." He hangs up.

I smile and put my phone back into my pocket and making my way down to the lobby, but once I do hundreds of girls are outside screaming all of the guys names, including mine.

Now I wish I grabbed a sweater before I left, I duck around the lobby and up to the front desk and approach the man who's standing behind it writing down papers.

I clear my throat. "Uh, sir? Can you help me?" He looks up from his papers and gives me a confused look. "I'm one of those Magcon boys staying at this hotel, that's kind of the reason why all of those girls are standing out there screaming."

"Oh, sorry. Uh, but what would you like me to do?" He chuckles, giving me another confused look. "Is there a back entrance or something?" I ask.

"Yeah there is, but I doubt no girls would be waiting there." He says with a bit of a attitude. Alrighty then. "I'll take my chances." I say before running off to where the back entrance is supposed to be.

Out of all of the problems in the world right now, I'm getting my sister ice cream from across the street. I love her, but seriously the things I do for her confuse me.

• Matt's P.O.V •

I run up the stairs of the hotel with Hayes trailing behind me, I only brought Hayes because he's close with Rachael and Carter was too busy with Kallie.

"What room is it again?" I ask, as soon as we reach the floor we're all staying on. "It's across from our room." He laughs, pointing at it from a distance.

I nod and rush there, I really hope that Rachael isn't in one of those grumpy moods, or that would just suck.

"Rachael!" Hayes yells, knocking on the door repeatedly. I quickly stop him and put my hand over his mouth, he gets what I'm doing and stops.

"It's her time of the month dude! She could-" I whisper yell at him but get cut off by Rachael opening the door.

"Hey." She simply says. "Do you need cuddles? Cause that's what me and Matt are here for." He says, she laughs and rolls her eyes playfully.

"But you'd have to choose between us, cause maybe one of us would like to go penny boarding right now." He says, slightly gesturing his hands towards himself.

"Okay, Matt you can leave. I choose Hayes." She says, and crosses her arms. What the actual hell is going on right now.

I look at Hayes and he looks back at me with the same expression, why in the world would she choose Hayes over me?

Not to sound cocky, but I doubt she likes Hayes more than she likes me.

She looks at both me and Hayes and bursts out laughing, we both look at each other confused and then stare back at Rachael.

"You guys are idiots." She laughs, I make a pouty face. "Of course you can go penny board Hayes, I was only kidding." He smiles and runs into the guys room and quickly grabs his penny board.

"Love ya Rache!" He runs back out and kisses her cheek before leaving. "Hah, love you too Haysey." She says.

"So.. Wanna come in?" She asks awkwardly. I nod my head, and walk into the hotel room with her trailing behind me.

• Jack G's P.O.V •

She's just so beautiful, especially when she woke up, her eyes beautifully fluttered open. It was so cute, I can't believe she's laying in the front of me.

"Taylor you dick!" Kallie screams, for the millionth time. "I said I was sorry!" He yells back, ducking down from all the boxes of tissues Kallie was now throwing at him.

"Kal!" Someone screams, we all turn our heads to face Carter, who has now entered the room with a billion tears going down his face.

"Hi?" She says. "How are you awake?" He asks, taking small steps towards her. "I don't know, I guess I just am." She shrugs.

"But the doctor said you were in a coma." He says. "How?" "They said you could've hit your head on a rock underwater."

She looks at all of us in disbelief, maybe what the doctors assumed isn't true, Kallie knows the true story.

"I didn't hit my head at all, I remember I just ran out of breath." She states. "Are you sure?" Ian asks her. "Yeah, I'm sure."

"I'm gonna go talk to the doctors, I'll be right back." Ian says, before leaving. Everyone starts talking again, including Carter and Kallie.

"I love you too." Kallie says, we all turn our heads and see her and Carter talking to each other.

I look at Jack and he looks at me back, I frown and force a smile. "She loves him." My voice croaks. "Jack, I'm sorry." He says.
