I was making lunch with the news on in the living room when I overheard that there had been a shooting at a house nearby.
"I hope everyone's okay"
Not much more information was given on the shooting. I still hadn't heard from Eddie. I figured he finally moved on. Kinda shitty not to give me an update, but I guess that's what happens when a guy isn't interested in you anymore. But it didn't make any sense for Eddie to just stop after years of trying to win me back. He always backed out of things that scared him, but he was never scared of losing me. He knew I'd stick around and that's why he never gave up. Nonetheless I guess it's my turn to move on too. I can't keep wishing for something that's never gonna happen.
