Kevin sighed before he made it around my bed and handed me a piece of paper.

"What is this?" I managed just a small glance at him, but thankfully he wasn't looking at me. It was still very awkward between us.

He looked at Sam when he spoke. "I read it in the angel tablet—"

"Wait, you guys found the angel tablet?" I broke in.

"Uh, yeah. The day you left for the hunt."

"Oh." I nodded. "Cool."

"And?" Sam pushed.

"I found something for me supposedly, or any other prophet that reads the tablet. It's an attack spell that helps protect us against the Children in we have to."

"So..."

"When one of the Children adopts new powers from another creature their body heals and sort of powers up, and from what I understood, is that this spell is supposed to weaken a Child by stripping him or her from the last power-up they had, that way they're less powerful than before. It also shakes them up quite a bit, giving the helpless prophet a head start."

The room grew quiet as everyone was taking in Kevin's words.

"Wait," Dean started, a look of anger and disbelief on his face. "Are you suggesting that we—"

"Use the attack spell on me," I continued. I could feel everyone's eyes on me as I thought about it. I looked up with a wide grin. "It's genius. Let's do it."

"Eliza, just wait a second," Sam stopped me quietly.

"What?" I whined, feeling like I was holding back tears. "It's perfect—"

"It's not," Kevin interrupted. "It's not perfect, Liz."

"Why. Not. Ingredients are easy to get," I held out the paper, "There's no waiting time, it's simple and easy."

"The spell is supposed to weaken the Child," Dean spoke.

"Yeah, so?"

"It could kill you. You're asking us to attack you," Sam continued.

"It's not like we have much choice!" I looked at them pleadingly but Sam was stubbornly focused on something in his hands, Kevin had his arms crossed and eyes fixed on his shoes and Dean was glaring at me. "Let's call Cas. See what he has to say."

"He's going to tell you the same thing." But Sam took out his phone anyway. The bell rang once.

"What happened?" Cas's voice demanded right away.

Sam's eyes flicked to me before he cleared his throat. "Nothing, we just wanted your opinion on something. Kevin found something for Eliza in the angel tablet."

He was quiet for a second before he replied, "I'll be right there."

When Sam closed the phone, no one said anything.

"This is a stupid idea." Dean broke the short silence.

"Well stupid's all we have," I replied simply.

"Okay, even if this works, you won't get better. You'll go back to how you were before. Bleeding and coughing all over the place."

"I could deal with that, I could manage like before." I couldn't imagine why I was complaining from a bit of throwing up. It seemed ridiculous compared to what I was going through now.

The whoosh of Cas's wings indicated his arrival.

"Hey," Dean greeted. "Found anything?"

"No." His voice was right beside me and that's when I looked up with a slight scowl I couldn't help.
