"Guys she's waking up," I heard Kevin call as I slowly blinked open my eyes.

I was back on my bed in my room. Kevin, who was changed and no longer bleeding, thankfully, was next to me on a chair, his books sprawled all over my legs.

"Ugh, Kevin," I mumbled, moving my legs around. In truth, I was touched he moved here with me. "Move your stuff."

"Hey! Watch it!" he snatched up his things before they fell on the floor.

"What are you doing in my room?" I muttered grumpily, putting an unintentional hand on my stomach. Even though the wound was obviously healed, I was still feeling piercing pangs and aches from my middle.

"Making sure you continue breathing. Plus it's quieter in here."

"Where's everybody?"

"You're in trouble..."

"Cas?" I asked with a sinking feeling.

He nodded. "And Dean...and Sam is kind of pissed too, but you know Sam." Yeah, I knew Sam. And I also now knew that he had a tiny freckle just above his lips.

When I tried to sit up Kevin rushed to help me prop my pillows. "There's no need for all this, Kev. I'm already healed."

"You're welcome," he rolled his eyes.

"Hey are...are you okay? How about Dean? Sam?"

"We're okay now," Kevin tried with a small smile. "Cas healed us." I felt my heart sink.

"Was it that bad?"

"Um, no."

"How bad?"

He shrugged uncomfortably.

"Please tell me."

"Liz..."

"Please. I'm imagining the worst right now."

He sighed and listed everyone's injuries emotionlessly."Dean had fractured ribs and a broken eye socket. Sam had pretty bad muscle tearing on his shoulder and a concussion. My side was pretty bad—I lost a lot of blood."

"Oh," was all I said because the english language didn't seem to have a better fitting word.

"Hey, no." He rushed closer to me. "I-It wasn't your fault. Don't...don't do this."

I swallowed loudly and gave him a nod. "Hey um, about what the demon said...Kevin I was screaming my lungs out, desperate to tell you otherwise. Nothing she said was true. Not one bit."

"I'm glad you're sure of it," he uncomfortably looked away and muttered under his breath.

"Kevin!" I exclaimed, turning to look at at him. I felt hurt and angry and I made sure it showed on my face but he refused to meet my eyes.

His eyes flicked to the door and he began gathering his stuff. "We'll deal with that later, right now you have bigger problems." He squeezed my hand and whispered with a smile, "Glad you're better," before stepping away from the bed.

"Hello Eliza," Cas greeted. I just needed one look to understand that he was the bigger problem.

"Cas." I responded tensely.

"How are you feeling?"

"You can say it Cas. I screwed up today. I screwed up majorly. You told me to look out for them and instead I got my ass rode by a worthless demon."

"Accidents happen." It was obvious he couldn't believe ones as stupid as this one did. It was all over his face.

"Yeah."
