He was majestic.
He was alien looking, and enormous, but dazzling.
He was a faint, sparkly clear baby-blue. He looked like he wasn't really solid either; he looked ghostly, like if I waved a hand through him he would disperse. He was the size of a Hummer Jeep, had the face of a doggish beast, and the body of a very, very large wolf. He had enormous white wings, wings that I could get lost in for days at a time. They didn't look sturdy, like Cas's did, they looked like they were made by a thin layer of large white feathers.
The way he stood was in an elevated, dignified fashion. He stood with pride and confidence, like he could smite something effortlessly from a mile away.
There was something about his eyes that I couldn't place. His electric blue eyes were round, warm and familiar even. When they caught mine, they widened. He started charging at me.
"Cas!" I screamed, frozen by my terror to where I was. I crouched and closed my eyes, waiting for the beast to eat me, but when I didn't feel any teeth, I slowly opened one eye.
To my utter bewilderment, he was kneeling in front of me, eyes closed and head bowed to the floor.
"Cas," I whispered in a shaky voice. "Let's go, I think it fell asleep."
Cas let out a small chuckle, watching the giant blue wolf thing with delight.
He was insane. I knew it from day one if I was being completely frank. The poor angel just couldn't handle more than two apocalypses.
I couldn't believe him when he Cas bent down and lifted his huge paw.
"No!" I hissed. "No! What are you doing, are you crazy?! CAS!"
"Look," Cas said anyway, completely ignoring my urgent warnings.
I scowled and swore a little before I went over to Cas. "What? What is it?" I said between my teeth. But then, when I saw what was there, for the second time today, I felt my entire body go into shock.
"What is that?" I whispered, horrified.
"He's yours," Cas shrugged. "Eliza Cameron James Brian. Right there."
It was carved into the beast's paw. Not even like someone did it to him, but it was as if he was born with it.
"I...uh..." My head was spinning. "That's a really weird birthmark." I swallowed loudly, finally ripping my eyes away from the animal to look at Cas. "Why...why does a blue monster's birthmark look a lot like my name?"
Suddenly the thing rose, making me jump and the little hairs on my arms, legs, and neck stand on end. I took a step back, glaring at it with my nostrils flared, unable to really do anything else. My eyes started to sting from how wide they were, and I could practically feel the adrenaline pumping through me.
Without any indication that it was going to, the thing opened its mouthed and gently licked my hand.
"MOTHER OF HOLY HELL!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, jumping behind Cas like someone threw a grenade right at my feet.
But that's not why Cas got really angry.
A huge crack sounded from behind us. I spun around, thinking What now? with a pained groan. A large cloud of fresh dust was on floating around the area where an enormous tree used to be.
Cas gave me a disappointed look.
"S-sorry, he scared me!" I stuttered, embarrassed at my little outburst.
