As much as Jada was nervous about a relationship with Callie because of her being Lynx and all the superhero stuff she would have to do, she really wanted it.

She was beyond ecstatic when Callie drove back to her own place. As much as she tried to hide it, she was really hoping the entire ride back that Callie wouldn't take her to her apartment. It was nearly 11 when they returned and Callie seemed exhausted after a long day of work.

Jada came out of the upstairs bathroom into Callie's room wearing one of her t-shirts and sweatpants. Callie was sitting on her bed checking her laptop wearing a tank top revealing how strong she was and a pair of sweatpants as well.

When Jada came in, she closed the laptop and stood. "Rooms all yours," she said. "I'll be downstairs if you need me."

"Wait where are you sleeping?" Jada questioned.

"Downstairs on the couch. I'm going to try and work a little more and hopefully pass out when I'm done."

"I don't want to take your bed."

"It's okay, the couch is comfy."

"Are you sure?"

Callie nodded and started towards the bedroom door. "I'm sure."

"Goodnight Calliope, and thank you for today."

Callie smiled and closed the door behind her and Jada immediately began kicking herself for allowing Callie to give up her entire bedroom to her. She had it right on the tip of her tongue. Jada had wanted to ask Callie to sleep with her if she was comfortable with it, but she couldn't get the words out.

She laid down under the covers. Everything smelled so much of Callie. And Jada didn't realize how comfortable she was until she woke up.

Jada almost jumped out of bed when she woke up to a beeping sound in the room. The door came flying open a few seconds after.

"Fucking damn it," Callie muttered under her breath as she searched the nightstand. "Why do I always get paged at 4 in the fucking morning."

"What's going on?" Jada asked groggily.

Callie finally got the beeping to stop. "The hospital is paging me," she answered. "Which means I have to go in to work."

She flew into the closet and changed so fast. "I'm sorry for waking you up," she said. "I should've take it downstairs with me."

Jada started to uncover herself. "It's okay, I should probably head home anyway."

Callie plopped down at the edge of her bed to put on her socks which matched her light blue scrubs. "You don't have to leave," she said. "You're more than welcome to stay as long as you want. And it's also 4 am in Los Angeles. And how are you getting home?"

She was absolutely right. "That's very true."

"I'll be home as soon as I can," Callie said and rushed out the door.

Jada walked downstairs the next morning after smelling something good. Coming down the stairs she could see Jess in the kitchen making some sort of really good smelling breakfast.

"Good morning," Jess greeted her with a smile.

"Good morning!"

Jess dumped a few more pancakes onto a plate. "Callie wanted me to make you breakfast but we didn't know what you liked so I made a little bit of everything."

Jada's heart melted hearing that. She really wasn't used to being cared about that much. Callie went as far out of her way as she could while most likely dealing with something really important to make sure she was comfortable.

"This all looks delicious," Jada admitted and began filling a plate.

"Oh and in case you need anything-" Jess began to show her where a few things were around the kitchen and point her in directions of things around the house. "Since you're Callie's girlfriend I'm sure I'll see you here a lot but here's a heads up where some of the stuff is at."

"Oh we're not together yet," Jada was quick to correct. "I want to be hopefully, but not yet."

Jess smiled and made a plate of her own. "She really likes you."

"I really like her too." Jada took a deep breath. "I even think I'm starting to fall in love with her. And I barely know her," she rambled, "but nobody has ever cared for me this much. Not just in a relationship but I've never felt like I'm loved as much as she makes me feel."

"Your Callie really cares about you. I can see it in her eyes the way she lights up when she talks about you. And you happen to be the first one who knows who she is. If she told you who she is then she really cares about you."

Jada nodded. "I was surprised. I asked her that night not expecting her to actually tell me, but she did in a heartbeat."

Jada then asked, "do you think she loves me?"

"Yes."
