Jada couldn't get rid of the feeling that her world was going to blow up in front of her. Callie was still very upset with her, but the two managed to enjoy Christmas together and with their friends as well as the New Years NYC trip.

She had also managed to run her big mouth after New Years and piss her wife off again. They had gotten into another full blown argument and Jada had accidentally said more hurtful things to Callie.

Callie had been very distant these past few days. She had been gone before the sun came up and wouldn't be home until after it was dark again. Everyday, Jada could feel her anxiety about the situation worsening. She knew she needed to have a serious conversation with Callie soon before her mental health got the best of her.

Jada knew Callie was avoiding her because she didn't want to hurt her. Her and Callie hadn't said more than a few words to each other in over a day. She hadn't kissed Callie in three days. And they hadn't had sex since before Christmas.

No matter how hard she tried to stop the thoughts, she couldn't. Jada was starting to believe herself when she thought that Callie deserved so much better than her. It was getting bad. Jada had been on the phone with her mom and friends everyday. But something felt off about this fight, and Jada didn't like it. She was once again feeling the need to flee. It was her anxiety and depression talking but it was getting to the point where she was having trouble fighting it.

Jada waited in the kitchen for her wife. Callie had once again worked another late night, and it was nearing 9 when Jada finally heard the garage door open. As much as she knew Callie wouldn't want to, they were having this talk tonight because there was no way Jada could hold it together any longer.

A minute later the door from the garage to the kitchen opened and in came a very visibly exhausted Callie. "Callie, come here babe."

Before Callie could protest, Jada had her purse out of her hand, and was in the process of wiggling the jacket off Callie's shoulders.

"Jada I'm exhausted," Callie replied tiredly. "I'm just going to go to bed."

"Babe, we need to talk."

"I don't really want to talk right now," Callie answered softly. "I was in surgery all day from six in the morning."

"Will you at least talk to me then?" Jada asked. "Not the stuff we need to talk about, but will you at least tell me about your day?"

"I was working on a neck for six hours today," Callie explained. "Christina wasn't there today, and Kate was not in the right headspace to be doing surgery on a spine. So I had Luke help me and he's not as confident as Kate so I had to make sure I paid attention to myself and him. Then April needed my help so her and I spent almost seven hours on a brain surgery and I am just fried."

Jada hugged her wife. "I'm sorry babe," she whispered. "Tell me next time so I can bring you food and some coffee."

Callie didn't reply and Jada found herself asking, "what happened to Kate?"

Callie shrugged. "I'm not sure," she answered truthfully. "All she said was her and Arizona are having problems and the holidays didn't go the way she hoped."

"Like us?"

Jada was answered with a nod. "Yeah, like us."
