"Goose has really taken a liking to you," Jada said as she sealed another box with packing tape.

Callie stood up after finishing petting Goose and came to grab the next box from Jada. "He and I really understand each other," Callie replied. "I think that's my favorite part about my powers is that I can communicate with animals like people wish they could."

"You're going to have to catch me up about what Goose thinks about me."

Callie laughed as she bent down to pick up the box and struggled at first. "Geez, what do you have in here?"

Jada was the one laughing now as Callie put the box up on her shoulder to carry down and out to the car. "Books and some other things why?" she teased.

"This shit is heavy."

"And that's why I have you," Jada told her, grabbing her free arm and flexing it. "You can handle the heavy stuff."

Callie actually flexed for her. "Okay show off."

"This is all man made here sweetheart," Callie trolled as she moved her arm down to her side and flexed again. "This shit didn't come from no cat bite."

"And that's exactly why you can suck it up and carry the heavy stuff," Jada replied, smacking Callie's ass as she started to walk out the door.

She spun around and came right back to her. "I can set this box down right now and show you what else I can do instead of carrying the heavy stuff."

Jada really wanted to take her up on that offer but instead said, "I think you're doing a great job helping me move these boxes here." She got right in Callie's face and trolled her once more. "Here's the keys. Stuff the hatch as much as you can. Thanks hot stuff."

Callie walked out of the apartment like she was plotting her revenge. Jada also wouldn't mind taking a little break. After all, she hadn't packed up her bedroom yet.

Jada grabbed another box and started filling it with more things. Callie's Avenger buddy Natasha had stopped by yesterday. The men had not yet been caught. And they had not made any new appearances for the Avengers to track them. Since the incident did have to do with an Avenger, Callie had been personally assigned to protect Jada. She was off of work which Jada was very happy about. There was intelligence saying that these men could potentially be part of some underground gang with really bad intentions. Jada didn't know the whole story as she wasn't allowed to be in the room when Callie was briefed. And now that they'd seen her in the Lynx suit, Callie's job was to protect her if they came back while other agents attempted to track them down.

Part of Jada felt bad for getting Callie reassigned, but at the same time she got to spend a lot more time with her. Natasha and a few other agents would also be in the area in case.

Since they didn't know how long it would be before these men would be stopped, Jada was moving her things to Callie's for the time being. And hopefully, after this is all done and over with, Callie would just invite her to permanently live with her.

The door opened and in came an out of breath Callie. "There better not be any more boxes like that," she ordered. "Because the elevator is broke and I just had to take the stairs."

Jada simply laughed. "Well, there's still this," she said as she walked over to her desk and pointed to her gaming computer. "She's pretty heavy."

"Really?"

Jada shrugged. "I love to game and I need it for work as well."

"To do what exactly?"

"I'm a freelance graphic design artist. So I just work whenever I get clients."

"Are we taking everything?" Callie asked.

"Everything but the desk because I know you have one." Jada then added. "I just have to grab the consoles and pack up my bedroom and we should be good."

"Are you gonna teach me how to play?" Callie asked as she unplugged the Switch and Xbox.

Jada nodded. "You've never played?"

Callie shook her head. "Just when I was younger. I had no time since I was going to med school and everything."

"I'll teach you how to play. It'll be a lot of fun. Maybe I can show you how to build yourself a computer if you like it. Once you have a PC you won't ever go back to a console."

"That sounds like fun," Callie told her as she came to press a kiss to Jada's lips.

Jada embraced her in a hug and stopped when she felt something on her lower back. "You're strapped now?"

"Yeah I gotta carry it now," Callie answered. "Although I don't like ever having to shoot it."

She packed more stuff into another box. "Have you ever had to? Like at somebody?"

Callie nodded. "More times than you would want to know. And we still need to get you trained how to use it."

"I don't like guns," Jada said as she walked back over to Callie. "The only time I would ever be okay with shooting it for real world be to protect you."

Callie embraced her again. "If we're ever in that kind of situation don't feel pressured to shoot it unless you absolutely have to. The training is to teach you how to use it safely."

Jada pressed another kiss to Callie's lips. "I kinda want to take a little break," she whispered, looking over into her bedroom.

"That's perfectly okay with me," Callie answered as she undid the strap from around her waist and removed the magazine from the gun before placing everything inside one of the boxes.

She took Jada's hand and followed her into the bedroom. Callie quickly pulled the door closed behind them. They both hurriedly undressed. As they kissed, Jada pulled Callie's long hair out of the ponytail it was in and let it tumble down her shoulders.

"Let's see what you got hot stuff."
