It had been a few weeks since Jada moved in with Callie with all the shit going on and this was the first week of her being completely settled in. After everything Callie had done for her, Jada made a mental note that she needed to put a ring on her lady soon. She didn't give a crap what people thought about the timing. They'd been together for five months and had already been acting like they were married.
Callie was still a stay at home protector for the time being meaning they got to spend a lot of time together. And Jada was going to be sad when Callie had to go back to work and get paged in the middle of the night.
Jada had given up her apartment and moved in with Callie permanently. And she was loving it. Callie was so amazing with the move and all the stress of trying to figure out what to do with all the shit Jada didn't need.
And Callie's home was beautiful. It was in one of the modest Los Angeles neighborhoods and it overlooked the ocean. There was still enough room around the house to have a yard and a fence but from the bedroom and upstairs rooms they would often relax at night watching the sunset over the ocean.
There was plenty of space in the garage to park her car inside to keep it out of the blazing California sun. Callie would often tease her about why she drove a Subaru Forester when she could drive something a lot sportier. Jada argued that she did have the sport model which made Callie tease her even more. It got serious once when Callie tossed Jada her wallet and told her to trade in the Subaru and go by herself something nicer. She immediately refused. She was not letting her girlfriend buy her a car. And she loved driving her Subaru. She had learned recently that Subaru's were apparently the stereotypical lesbian car.
Callie had made her at home in their bedroom. Jada honestly thought that she took up more space in the closet and the dressers now than Callie did.
Callie had also turned one of the guest bedrooms downstairs by her at home office into an office for Jada. Their offices were side by side each other and designing her workspace was probably the most fun project her and Callie took on.
And it turned out amazing.
The desk was an upgrade from her old desk at her apartment. It was so much bigger, sturdier, and spacious. The windows opposed the wall from the desk and had automatic shading that was voice controlled. Callie had helped her mount her four computer monitors to the desk. She had an ultra wide monitor on top with her primary monitor below. And on either side were monitors mounted vertically. The ultra wide monitor was actually able to be moved, it was Jada's main work monitor and she could move it down and closer to her when she was working and then put it back when she was gaming. Her computer was tucked behind the right vertical monitor and she had plenty of room for her mouse and keyboard, and a drawing tablet she used for her projects. She had a camera mounted between the monitors for work meetings and even a professional grade microphone for audio projects.
Jada liked the late night vibe of being in her office. Callie also helped her install some RGB lighting around the room and it looked absolutely amazing. On the left of Jada's desk was a giant bookshelf spanning the entire width of the wall. Jada had a lamp on one of the shelves as well as a lot of her artwork, some books, and plenty of pictures of her and her girlfriend.
There was a couch below the windows and a tv mounted on the wall by the door. Sometimes Jada wanted to play games with her friends but couldn't sit at her desk any longer so she'd lay on the couch and play on her Xbox.
