Jada made a mental note and stashed it away that she needed to have the baby talk with Callie soon. Because watching her wife with Claire started to make Jada think her baby fever was getting worse than Callie's.

She knew Callie wanted to wait until after the holidays. It was the end of October and Jada wasn't sure she'd be able to make it two more months without wanting to get her wife pregnant. They already decided Callie would carry the first baby. And they started the process of looking for donors.

Callie helped the little girl out of the high chair and held her against her hip. "Are you sure you don't mind?" Callie asked as she set the three plates into the sink. "I can get her watching something and come back and help," she whispered into her wife's ear.

"I got it baby," Jada answered with a smile.

They let Claire choose what was for dinner. The little girl happily asked for pizza. There was barely anything to clean up in the kitchen, but Jada was touched that Callie still wanted to help clean up. It was something the two of them did together every night.

"Are you sure?"

Jada nodded. "Yeah Cals, you two go pick out a movie and I'll be in soon."

Her heart fluttered when Callie kissed her. Jada was a little surprised by the action, she wasn't expecting Callie to kiss her that openly in front of Claire. She didn't really want to have the conversation with the little girl as to why she and Callie were two women in an intimate relationship and not a woman and a man. They didn't know if Claire just didn't even notice, didn't care, or was more interested in something else at the moment.

Callie smirked over her shoulder at her wife as she carried Claire into the living room. "You want to pick out a movie or a show? Jada's coming and she's bringing you a surprise."

"I get a surprise?"

"You do, you've been so good these last few days."

It had been a few days since the couple decided to foster Claire and in a few more days, they would be back to their child free life. There was a foster family the hospital got in contact with that was interested in taking in Claire and her mom and provide them a safe living space while the stuff with Claire's dad was taken care of.

Callie was going to miss the little girl. Claire had not been sleeping as good as they hoped she would and that was completely understandable. So Callie and Jada laid low on the sex for a few days to allow Claire to come into their room for comfort whenever she needed. Callie quickly got accustomed to throwing a protective arm around her two girls and loved being woken beside her wife by their temporary daughter.

She made a mental note that she needed to talk to Jada about kids soon. Callie remembered saying she wanted to wait to even think about trying until after the holidays. But Jada coaxed her into getting a start on the process for when the new year came around, if they were ready, start trying.

While Callie was having a blast with Claire, she needed to make sure she was ready for the commitment, especially while their child was an infant. It was going to be hard work and time consuming and there would be a lot of things her and Jada would need to sacrifice for a little while. Arizona teased her at work about it and offered the invite to Callie and Jada to come hang out and help with some peads babies.

"Jada, what my surprise?" Claire blurted out as Jada entered the room, snapping Callie out of her daydream.

"Come sit with us and I'll show you."

Claire happily climbed up onto the couch between Callie and Jada. "What did you and Callie pick out?" Jada asked the girl.

"Trolls!" she answered happily. "Surprise now!"

Jada reached her arm over the couch and to the table behind it, grabbing the big bowl of popcorn.

"Popcorn!?"

"Callie told me you love popcorn."

"I do!" she squealed, nearly knocking the bowl off Jada's lap as she attempted to hug her. "Thank you!" Claire then crawled over to Callie and hugged her as well before making herself comfortable in Callie's lap.

With Claire on Callie's lap, Jada took that as an invitation to cuddle up against her wife's shoulder. She was really happy when Callie moved to put her arm around Jada, allowing her to cuddle against her even closer.

Jada set the bowl of popcorn on a pillow on her legs right next to Claire so the girl could reach it easily. She grabbed the remote and started the movie before snuggling into her wife's embrace and snacking on some popcorn.

Claire was asleep in Callie's lap within the first hour of the movie. Jada noticed that when she felt her wife pressed light kisses against her temple.

"I love you Jaelynn Torres," Callie whispered quietly with a smile.

"I love you too Calliope Torres," Jada replied. "I can't wait for this, with our kids."

"Me too."

Jada woke up as she felt herself being gently rested in bed. As she opened her eyes and blinked a few times to adjust to the nightstand light, she noticed that a sleeping Claire was in Callie's other arm. Jada had no idea how her wife managed to carry both her and the little girl up to bed together, but she thought it was the cutest thing.

After Callie tucked her wife under the covers, she pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. "I'll be right back, I'm going to tuck her in real quick."

Jada nodded and relaxed as she waited for Callie to come back. She needed a kid with her wife like right now. Seeing Callie with Claire was enough to prove to Jada that she was ready for a child of her own.
