LUCY POV
The boys are both coming over for dinner tonight. Nikki will be home from work by 4 so she can be in charge of getting drinks while I finish cooking. I'd decided to go with a Mexican spread. I was currently obsessed with Mexican food and had been perfecting the way I cooked it.
I wasn't nervous about the two of them coming to my apartment anymore. They'd been here several times now and the only mishap was the night I'd stupidly left my vibrator out on my nightstand which Joe saw when he used the ensuite toilet 🤦🏻♀️ ....and then told Ollie about it when I did a dolphin dive over my bed in an attempt to hide it.
Being the gentlemen that they are they didn't bring it up again after they laughed along with Nikki for a solid ten minutes. Laugh away. No man has ever satisfied me like my purple rabbit can. And like I told Nikki she was NOT allowed to laugh. She bought it for me for my 18th birthday!
I looked at the clock as I heard the front door open and Nikki let herself into our flat carrying everything she needed to make her deadly margaritas. Hope the boys weren't planning on driving. They could have my room again, this time everything would be properly hidden, and I'd share with Nikki again.
"Hey Niks how was work?!" "Slow day. It was just starting to pick up when I left but they had four behind the bar so they'll be fine. Do I have time for a quick shower?" "Of course. The boys won't be here for another half hour or so." She walked past me towards her bedroom, saying a quick hello to Thing who waved his front leg at her before going back to his delicious crickets. I heard the water start in her bathroom and I went back to mashing avocados to make my homemade guacamole.
After 10 minutes I heard the water stop and Nikki emerged with wet hair wearing an oversized jumper which I'm pretty sure was her dads along with a pair of leggings. She skipped in to the kitchen. "Need any help Lulu?" "No I'm almost done. But do you want to start making your margaritas? They'll be here in 10."
Nikki went to work juicing limes and rimming glasses with salt when we heard the buzzer for the front door. I ran to the hand piece and answered it. "Come up Jack the Ripper!" And hung up. After two minutes the front door swung open and the boys both let themselves in. "Not funny Harris. One day you WILL let a serial killer in to your flat" Ollie grumbled. Joe made a beeline for his new best friend, Thing and let him crawl on to his hand. "Hey buddy! I missed you!" Thing waved his little front feet in the air in greeting and then settled on to Joes hand to allow him to stroke his back. Ollie looked at him in disgust "ugh. Hello Thing." He actually took a step closer to study him. "Aww Ollie are you warming up to him" I teased. "Absolutely not. But I figure I should make friends so he doesn't kill me in my sleep. Why can't you have a normal pet like a dog". "Oh great idea! A dog in a third story flat with no garden! Get your head out of your arse Blake" Nikki scoffed as she shoved a margarita in his direction before handing another one to Joe.
"Thanks Niks" Joe said with a smile. "Aww thanks Carmichael! I knew you loved me!" "Shut up Ollie. I put extra spit in yours". "She loves me!" Nikki rolled her eyes. "Shut up and drink it!" I just grinned to myself as I concentrated on finishing up the guacamole in the kitchen. When I was happy with the taste I scooped it in to a bowl and arranged a pile of tortilla chips around it, placing it on the dining table.
I heard the boys both cough and splutter slightly as they had their first sips of their margaritas. "Jesus Carmichael did you put petrol in it!" "Only in yours Ollie. Joe what do you think?" "It's good Niks. It's just really strong! It's great though!" He took another sip and smiled at her. She smiled back and then glared at Ollie. "Why can't you be charming like my boy Quinn here?" He simply grinned and then flipped her off over the table. They then began a contest of seeing who could come up with the most creative ways of flipping each other off. Each getting more stupid than the last one.
