OLIVER POV
How had we been at LAMDA for 3 months already? I was so happy and so proud of myself that I had decided to go this route instead of riding on my parents success to get me acting jobs. I was doing this my way and I was going to work hard for it.
Joe, Lucy and I were currently working on a scene we'd been studying and needed to perform to our class next week. It was a love triangle but the scene was written involving two women in love with the same man. Joe and I were arguing over who would play the second woman and who would play the man.
"I'm not playing a girl! No way! You've got prettier eyelashes Joe you do it!" "Fuck off Ollie! I'm not doing it! You've got prettier lips so obviously you should do it!" This continued backwards and forwards for the past ten minutes until Lucy had had enough. "Oh my god. GIRLS!!" We both stopped arguing mid-sentence and turned to look at her. "Did you just-" "Harris did you just call us-" "girls? Yes! This is going nowhere! How about you both be the girls and I'll be the man?! I'm clearly tougher than both of you!"
We both just stared at her for a few seconds before we began cackling at her. "Yeah nice try Harris. Your arms are like spaghetti noodles" I said as I squeezed her bicep. Joe laughed harder until Lucy raised one eyebrow and glared at both of us. "Listen dickheads, do you want to show ability to adapt to different roles and different types of roles?"
Shit. She had us there. And this arguing was honestly getting us nowhere. Joe looked deep in thought until he said "Luce you've got a point. It'd be different. Could give us an advantage over the rest of the class." She smirked then and got a cocky grin on her face. "Am I a genius or am I a genius?" I still wasn't convinced. "I'm not wearing any fucking makeup." "Oh yes you are. And shaving your legs boys." We both protested then. " nope. No way. Absolutely not." "Harris you're mad. That's a step too far." She laughed then and we both knew she was joking. Maybe. She did like to fuck with our minds for fun.
JOSEPH POV
So I'm a woman for this group project. This should be interesting. Lucy was right though. The arguing was sending us around in circles and going nowhere. Plus it was a completely different take to what any other group was doing. If we took this seriously this could really make us stand out from the rest of the crowd. As long as the rest of our class group took it seriously and didn't just take the piss out of us.
"Right boys. Or should I say ladies?" "You should not Harris". "Right ladies," she ignored Ollie's objection. "We should really practice our scenes outside of school. We can meet at my flat if you like? Nikki will be at work until 8". "I'm in." "Me too. How come you're not working tonight Luce? You're always working on a Friday night." I asked her. We could literally never get her to do anything after school especially on a weekend night. That girl worked her hands to the bone.
"I was. But I've done so much overtime lately my boss told me to take the weekend off. Don't have to be back at work until Monday after school." "We have a whole weekend with you Harris?!" Ollie looked excited. "Don't flatter yourself. I'm going to see my mum and dad and my brother tomorrow." "Joe do you know what this means?!" Ollie looked at me excitedly. "Huh? What?" "Drinks with Harris! Finally!" I grinned and turned to her. "Yes mate! Drinks! Tonight!" "What about the project?" "Fuck the project! We've got all weekend and all next week to work on it! We're presenting it next Friday!" "Um did you not hear me say I only have this weekend off? I'll be working every day next week! Plus I'm seeing my family this weekend!" "Drinks! Drinks! Drinks!" We both started chanting obnoxiously. "Oh fuck ALRIGHT! As long as we don't go too overboard!"
Ollie and I both cheered and grabbed her in a rough group hug which she tried to push herself out of. She was giggling the whole time though. We started to make our plans for the evening, agreeing to meet at Lucy's apartment at 5:30 and then head down to Fitzgeralds again for our night out.
