Joseph met Lucy and her future husband, Oliver, when they all began studying drama together at LAMDA. They were the best of friends and an unbreakable trio from day one. Joseph has never told his best friend however that he's been in love with his w...
The day was here. Ollies 21st birthday. We'd been at Sarah and Richards since yesterday afternoon. The rest of our gang would arrive later today and stay for a day or two before we all went back to the city. Sarah was sparing no expense for her youngest sons big birthday.
A huge marquee had been set up on the lawn of the country house, a dance floor installed, a DJ would arrive later this afternoon before the party started, hired caterers, bar staff and then a crew would assist with the clean up.
Olivia and her parents would apparently be here which pissed me off. At our premiere, she'd ambushed him with out an invitation and said she couldn't understand why he was screening her calls when she loved him so much. He'd said to her multiple times that he never had been and never would be interested in her. And she insisted I was a fling. That's what really pissed us both off. She knew nothing about us or relationship. And because that bitch had dragged Ollie out the door on the night, I'd been sexually harassed and groped in a dark corner. Christ knows what would have happened if Joe and Ben hadn't been there.
I was currently lying on a sun lounge on the patio with a book, soaking up some rays and napping in the sun. I woke up when I felt someone flip down next to me making me jump because I was half asleep. "Jesus Ollie you scared me." "Sorry sweetheart. I just want a cuddle." We curled up together on the sun lounge and dozed. Sarah would check on us regularly to make sure we kept applying sunscreen.
Eventually I decided to go inside for a shower so I could start getting ready for Ollies party. I yawned constantly as I walked through the house making Sarah and my mum, who were sitting at the dining table with a cup of tea each, laugh. "You alright love?" "I think I napped in the sun for too long. I'm sleepy. I'm going to have a shower to wake myself up!"
I took my time in the shower. Washing my hair, exfoliating my whole body so my skin shone, using the expensive soaps Sarah always kept in the guest bathrooms. Once Camille, Nikki and Hannah arrived with the other boys, we were getting our hair and makeup done professionally by a couple of mobile artists. We'd decided being a special occasion, why the hell not?! Sarah and my mum were going to join us.
Just after we'd finished lunch the rest of our gang arrived, half an hour after them the hair and makeup artist arrived. I had my hair curled and cascading around my shoulders. For my face I kept it dewy and fresh with a gold eyeshadow and a cat eye done in brown eye pencil. It would pair perfectly with the dress Sarah had convinced me to buy when we'd gone shopping last week. Ollie loved my legs. And it was all for his birthday. So why not?

When I emerged from the bathroom and bumped in to Ollie in the hallway, he'd also just finished getting dressed in a white dinner jacket with a bow tie.
