A/N - songs referenced are "My Hero" and "Everlong" by Foo Fighters. Everlong is my absolute favourite and definitely my selection as my Vecna song 🥰 what's everyone else's Vecna song?

LUCY POV

It was May. Already! Ollie and I finished moving my things in to the townhouse in early February, Joe moved in to the flat with Nikki and Thing a week later. That was it. My flat was gone. For me anyway. Mine and Nikki's plans had been to stay there until I finished drama school and then play it by ear from then. But then I met Oliver that first day at LAMDA. And I honestly don't know why I was so nervous to move in together. It went seamlessly. We were either always together at the flat or the townhouse anyway. It was nice to not have to worry about whether I had clean underwear at whichever house I was sleeping at.

Tomorrow it was time for my birthday present. We'd be going to the Foo Fighters concert already! I couldn't believe Ollie and I had been together for 15 months, we lived together, Nikki had a pretty steady girlfriend in Hannah, Joe was with Camille and had been for about 6 months, and we were almost halfway through our second year at LAMDA! Life was perfect for me right now. I honestly couldn't have been happier if I tried.

The media had worked out who I was a couple of months ago. Some photos emerged that were taken over the Christmas and New Year period. And a "close source" to the Blake family had told several media outlets that Oliver and I weren't a serious item. We were apparently just casual. I'd never be able to prove it but I had a sneaking suspicion it was Olivia. This has led to Ollies parents releasing another statement acknowledging that my name had been published correctly against my will, but they also stated that Oliver and I were actually quite serious and had been together for over a year.

Thankfully the media had no idea what I did for work or where I worked so I was able to keep bartending at Fitzgeralds. For now. I knew it was only a matter of time before that all went to shit and it was starting to scare me. I was no where near ready to start auditioning for acting gigs and I needed to work. Ollie insisted it wasn't a problem. We'd actually had a pretty big fight about whether I should be paying rent at the townhouse or not as there was no mortgage owing as his parents had bought it outright. I refused to be a freeloader so insisted on paying board directly to his parents. I also contributed my equal share to utilities and groceries.

I loved him but he needed to understand I was not going to live off his money. Just like he wasn't going to ride on the coattails of his parents success. We'd eventually sat down with Sarah and Richard and come to the decision that I WOULD be paying board. Ollie wasn't happy but he begrudgingly agreed eventually once I got it in his head that I was trying to be as independent as he was.

Today was Friday and we were currently sitting in class watching another group of students with their take on a scene from "The taming of the shrew". We'd each been given different scenes to act out. Ollie, Joe and I along with two others from our class had given our presentation yesterday and our professor seemed happy. Marks would be handed out next week.

When the group was finished presenting and we all applauded, Julian, our professor asked the three of us to stay back for a few moments at the end of class. This made me nervous and gave me the feeling that maybe we'd done something wrong on one of our assessments.

"Now don't panic. You're all doing extremely well and that's why I wanted to talk to you. I have a contact at the BBC who I sometimes hear from if he's looking for a young cast for a new production."

I'm sorry you fucking what?!

"Now I've had my eye on the three of you since you started here last year. You're good. Really good. All of you. He reached out to me asking if I had any students I could recommend to him for a new production he'll be casting. I want the three of you to audition."
