OLIVER POV
Tonight's the night! The lads and I were going to annihilate ourselves like the girls did a week ago. I think it took Lucy two full days to get rid of that hangover. And then in 3 weeks we'd be married. I wasn't even nervous. I was beyond excited. Lucy had the girls over to help look after us boys when we got home. I think they were going to have a quiet night in watching movies and doing face packs or whatever shit they do.
She looked a lot different than what she did last weekend. She was wearing my tracksuit bottoms and my flannel which were both miles too big. She was still the most gorgeous thing on the planet though.
Joe, Ben, David and I were currently standing on the patio smoking a cigar and enjoying one of Lucy's dirty martini's as we waited for an Uber to come and collect us. Lucy was inside with the girls watching a movie, all of them sprawled out on the couches with Freddie.
Joes phone chimed and he looked down before saying "Uber is 30 seconds away. Let's go lads!" We each downed the last of our drinks and stubbed out our cigars before walking back in to the house to stay goodbye to the girls. I bent over to give Lucy a quick kiss and then kissed the top of Freddie's head as he snoozed with his head in her lap.
"Bye gorgeous! I'll miss you! Oh and you Harris!" I chuckled as she flipped me off. "Have fun boys! I'm not even going to try to give you any don't drink too much advice after last weekend." The other girls all groaned in agreement. None of them willing to touch another drop of alcohol yet.
As we climbed in to the Uber I asked where we were going. "None of your beeswax Ollie. You'll learn when we get there." "You promise there's no strippers?" "No strippers." Ben then said "still think that's bullshit." "Have you forgotten I'm marrying your little sister?! We'll have strippers at your stag do when it happens."
We pulled up outside of CUT on Park Lane. I'd always wanted to try the steak from here so I was beyond excited! "No! We're going here?!" Joe just grinned at me and then held the door open for me. I walked in and heard a chorus of "OI OI!!" And then cheering come from my dad, Lucy's dad and some other friends from LAMDA including our teacher Julian.
I walked around the table and greeted everyone, bear hugs all around. When I got to both dads they both pulled me in to a group hug. I grinned hugging both of them back. My dad pulled away to look into my eyes and said "I'm so proud of you mate. I know she's the love of your life and I'm so proud of the way you treat her." Lucy's dad then said "I couldn't ask for a better man for my daughter Oliver. I know you'll love her as much as her mother and I do."
Oh Christ Oliver don't get teary. Do NOT get teary! Instead I just hugged them both again and then we were seated by the waiter who took our drink order. Joe and I looked at each and smirked before he said to the waiter "a filthy martini please mate. And the same for the groom."
After we had our drinks and our food order was taken my dad stood and tapped his wedding ring on his glass to get the tables attention. "Thank you for coming lads. I just want to say a few words before we eat if that's ok. I just want to say how proud Sarah and I are of both Lucy and Oliver. The way they take care of each other and love each other so completely is such a joy to watch. When he first brought her home to us I said ''Ollie mate your brother was right. You ARE punching'", the table all laughed as I flipped off my dad. "Lucy is the most beautiful and kind hearted girl in all of England and we couldn't be more thrilled Fo welcome her in to our family. Congratulations mate! We can't wait for the wedding!"
Everyone raised their glasses and took a drink and then the food came to the table. That has got to be the most amazing steak I have ever had in my life. It was moist, juicy and tender and it was like cutting through butter with a hot knife.
