LUCY POV

After I told Joe I needed to tell him something his face dropped. "Right. Ok. Darling you're making me nervous here." I grabbed his hands and squeezed them. "Joe, this is good news. At least I think so." He sat there waiting patiently for me to tell him my news.

"I may have told a fib when I told you I had an appointment with Sean yesterday." "Oh?" "Yeah. I had a different kind of appointment."

Joe continued gazing in to my eyes looking confused.

"Joe...I have a job. I was doing a contract signing and table read yesterday." His eyes lit up and he pulled me closer for a tight hug. "Luce that's amazing! Why didn't you tell me you silly thing?!" "Because I'm scared something is going to go wrong. I haven't worked since Ollie died. First with my grieving and then the baby. I've been out of the industry for over a year. Thats massive for someone who had barely started out in the first place!"

"Oh darling!" He squeezed me a bit tighter and then pulled away to look into my eyes. "Luce I think you're an idiot for hiding it from me. But I understand. I do. Tell me about your role!" "Um...I may or may not have landed a role in Season 2 of Bridgerton." "WHAT?! LUCY!" "Shhh! Billy's still asleep!" "Shit sorry! Bridgerton?! Are you joking?!" "It's only a small role. I'll be playing a maid in the Bridgerton household. I only have a few lines and they may get cut. Im only an extra really."

Joseph hit me in the face with a pillow and whisper shouted "shut up Luce!" I giggled at him, the force of the pillow pushing me over. He crawled over to me quickly and straddled me pressing excited kisses all over my face. "Luce I'm excited for you!" "Tiny role Joseph!" He hit me in the face with the pillow again before I wrestled it out of his grip and threw it on the floor. He flopped down on the mattress next to me and pulled me in to a tight cuddle.

"Im so proud of you. Is filming going to be around London?" "For my scenes yes I think so. The main cast will need to travel a bit more but I'll be able to stay home. What about you? When do you need to leave?" He sighed and said "in a few weeks. They've already sent over my contracts. I'll need to go to the States for the table read and to sort out my costuming. Then I'll be back here for another month or so before I fly back for filming. When do you start filming?" "In about 5 or 6 weeks. The main cast is filming already but my scenes aren't for a while yet why?" "Come with me. For the table read and everything and then we'll come back together before I need to leave again for filming. Please come with me!"

I looked up in to his big chocolate brown eyes and found myself nodding my head and smiling. "Ok. Yeah." "Yeah?" "Yeah let's do it. It'll be a little holiday with Billy before we get busy with filming." He grinned and pulled me into a kiss before pulling away and kissing the top of my head. "Do you think you'll be filming for long?" "Probably not. I'm only in a few scenes. You?"

He groaned into my hair and said "I think so. Eddie has a big storyline. I think I'll be gone for months." I let out a shaky sigh and buried my nose into his throat inhaling his scent. "What am I gonna do without you Joseph Quinn?" "Hey," he tilted my chin up so I was facing him before planting a kiss on my mouth. "I love you. We're going to make this work."

FF THREE WEEKS
JOSEPH POV

Lucy, Billy and I were flying to LA tomorrow for our holiday together which just so happened to include my table read and costume trials. Our trip together almost didn't happen. Whilst Lucy and I both had passports, we'd forgotten in our excitement that Billy didn't so it was a mad rush visiting various government offices to get a rushed one. But it was happening. I was taking my little family on a holiday.
