Chapter 3

You woke up and it was early in the morning. Chuck was still asleep next to you but you were wide awake. you sat up straight and rubbed your eyes. It was cloudy and it looked like it would probably rain later in the day. You got out of your hammock and saw frypan was up making breakfast. you ran over to him.
Y/N-"hey i'm y/n! i don't think we really met."
FRYPAN-"hey y/n it's nice to meet you. That's one bruise."
Y/N-"what do you mean?"
FRYPAN-"right there"
he pointed to your face. You had a huge bruise on your cheek bone and right below your eye from Gally's punch.
Y/N-"oh that's cute. Need any help?"
He laughed
FRYPAN-"actually i might need a little"
Y/N-"i gotchu
you walked into the kitchen
and started helping, after about 30 minutes all the gladers were up.
FRYPAN-"i think i'm good now. You can go if you want"
Y/N-"just yell if you need me"
FRYPAN-"will do!"
You walked over to your friends and they had their
breakfast. Minho made a gagging noise and Newt made a face
MINHO-"your face..."
Y/N-"trust me yours isn't ideal either."
Chuck laughed and asked if you were okay.
Gally looked at you and didn't say anything, you
smiled and you rolled his eyes.
NEWT-"why are you being nice to him?"
Y/N-"i hate him... but i want to make him mad by being nice. You know so it's harder to have a reason to hate me"
ALBY-"i don't know if that will work."
Y/N-"i can try"
MINHO-"are you going to eat y/n?"
Y/N-"I don't know, I'm not very hungry"
GALLY-"here y/n you can have an apple."
CHUCK-"when did you get over here?"
GALLY-"why do you care shank"
Y/N-"I'm okay thanks tho"
you smiled and he looked mad
GALLY-"just take it"
Y/N-"really I'm fine. I'm sure someone else would want it tho"
he grabbed you hand and put the apple in it. He wrapped your fingers around the apple(in an angry way)
He walked away and sat with his friends
NEWT-"that was weird"
MINHO-"he probably just wanted to hold her hand."
they laughed and you slammed the apple on the table causing it to basically explode
ALBY-"y/n what the hell!"
you pulled a piece of pointy metal from the inside.
MINHO-"what is that?"
he was wiping apple off his face. you stood up pissed and walked over to his table. You threw the piece of metal in the center of the table and looked at them.
CHUCK-"here we go"
Y/N-"I'm not stupid Gally. why the hell are you putting metal in food and giving it to me."
Gally and his friends laughed. You picked up a
knife and jabbed it in the table next to his hand. He
stood up
GALLY-"what's your problem?!"
Y/N-"what's yours?! you're mad that i'm a girl so you put metal in food and give it to me?!"
Gally didn't say anything
Y/N-"just tell me why you I hate me"
your voice was low and he stared at you. he grabbed your hand and pulled you to the tower. he climbed up and you followed him.
GALLY-I don't know why i hate you. i just do"
Y/N-"i'm sorry?"
you were confused and looked at him. he took a deep breath and kept talking
GALLY."you just...seem like such a good person and no one else really is. I don't
like it"
Y/N-"you don't like be because you think i'm a good person?"
GALLY:"yea"
Y/N-"i get it"
GALLY "you do?"
Y/N-"not really but i'm not going to judge you. I just hope you realize i don't want bad blood between us."
you smiled and he looked at the glade below. You stood up and climbed down. you went to do your jobs with Newt.
NEWT-"what was that all about?"
Y/N-"he doesn't like me because he thinks i'm a good person."
You were picking vegetables and Newt stopped what he was doing and looked at you. You eventually realized and looked at him.
Y/N-"what?"
NEWT-"he doesn't like you... because you're a good person?"
you shrugged
Y/N-"i guess"
you both laughed and kept
working After everyone
finished working it started to rain. Everyone ran under
the cover by the hammocks. You looked at
Chuck and smiled
CHUCK-"what?"
you grabbed his hand and
pulled him into the rain. You
ran around dancing in the rain. The guys were watching you and Chuck. Minho ran out and joined you guys. There was mud everywhere and you all were playing tag and falling in the mud. Eventually all the gladers joined in and you all danced in the rain like little kids for the rest of the night.
