Chapter 4

You woke up and went to the "bathrooms" to shower and get ready. You came out and walked over to get
breakfast
Y/N-"thanks frypan, looks amazing!"
FRYPAN-"thank you y/n"
he never really get compliments on his food so I it meant a lot to him. You walked over to your friends and they had been arguing about something.
MINHO-"that's not how it works chuck"
CHUCK-"it could!"
NEWT-"let's ask y/n what she thinks"
You looked at them
CHUCK-"if someone was willing, don't you think we should send someone in
the maze with a journal and then they write down what happens at night. Maybe
there's a way out."
Y/N-"I'll do it."
you sat down and Minho
almost spit out his food.
ALBY-"no ones going in the glade at night"
Y/N-"why not?"
CHUCK-"see y/n thinks it's a good idea"
MINHO-"well it's not"
Y/N-"i think we should do it. I'll go, i have no problem with it."
Alby looked at you and shook his head
ALBY "not happening kid
you looked at the maze
door and stood up
MINHO-"what are you doing?"
Y/N-"i just want to see something"
NEWT-"she's gonna run"
Y/N-"I'm not gonna run"
You made eye contact with
Minho and sprinted. He shot up from his seat and sprinted after you. You stopped after about 30 yards and laughed. He came up and grabbed you like you were gonna keep
running
Y/N-"i was joking. i just want to see something."
The others had run after but they weren't as fast. You were still laughing when they came up.
NEWT-"she's a bloody handful"
ALBY-"is this how all girls are?"
MINHO-"hope not"
they laughed and you walked over to the door. Chuck was next to you and you looked at how tall the wall was.
Y/N-"damn"
MINHO-"what are you looking for?"
Y/N-"how tight does this close?"
MINHO-"all the way"
Y/N-"could we stick something and maybe lodge it open?"
MINHO-"doubt it"
you touched the wall and got a memory. It was a man showing you a small window next to the doors. It was hidden behind a big thing of grass.
Minho noticed you stopped moving and he grabbed your arm. You felt weird and got dizzy. You held onto him and he lowered you to the ground.
MINHO-"are you okay? what's happening?"
Y/N-"move that grass"
NEWT-"what?"
Y/N-"pull it back"
Alby walked over and moved the grass. There it was. A small window that you could see into the maze.Minho ran around into the maze and stood in front of it.
MINHO-"cam you see me?!"
NEWT-"yeah!
ALBY-"how'd you know it was here y/n?"
Y/N-"i just saw it. like a memory i guess"
NEWT-"we'll watch it tonight. see what's really up with these greivers."
Y/N-"greivers?"
MINHO "they're these machine monsters basically. They come out at night. No ones ever seen one and lived to tell about it."
Y/N-"sounds lovely"
MINHO-"I'll watch tonight."
Y/N-"i want to see"
ALBY-"you will be in bed"
Y/N-"you wouldn't know that window is here without me"
you shot him a look and he sighed
MINHO-"I'll make sure she doesn't do anything stupid"
you smiled at him and he gave you a little nod as if saying you're welcome. You and Newt went to the garden and Minho ran the maze. Dinner came quickly and you all talked. you were talking to Chuck like usual and the other guys were talking about something, important.
CHUCK-"watch this"
he took a scoop of peas and put it on his spoon. He tried to hit Newt with it but he hit Minho. You turned and tried to hide your laugh in your shoulder
CHUCK-"minho... i meant to hit Newt... i swear"
MINHO-"you're dead"
he got up and Chuck ran, Minho caught him pretty quickly and shoved peas down his pants
You, Alby, and Newt were all laughing. Chuck started whining and you got up to check on him.
CHUCK-"y/n! he shoved peas down my pants!"
Y/N-"i saw"
you were laughing really
hard. Minho was sitting on the ground next to Chuck laughing.
Y/N-"shake em out"
Chuck started jumping and turning to get the peas out. You and Minho just laughed and watched him. he eventually stormed off to change into new pants. You sat in the grass with Minho.
Y/N-"how long have you been a runner?"
MINHO-"pretty much the whole time I've been here"
Y/N-"wow"
MINHO-"it's way better than gardening you know"
Y/N-"i can only imagine"
you both laughed and then got up to go to work. You and Newt talked about the window and then he told you about the graveyard in the woods
NEWT-"it's not much but, we felt like they deserve some kind of memorial."
Y/N-"I think it's great",
you smiled at him and kept working.
