Her eyes - maze runner / newt and Thomas

Chapter 20

You were worried another glader would get taken since you got chuck back... and you were right, you had never talked to the boy but you still felt awful. In the morning you ate and then you, thomas and minho went into the maze. You ran there and you pointed out the small hole to them. you grabbed some rocks and threw them over the edge
Y/N-"did you hear that? it hits the ground but this one doesn't"
you threw another one and they looked at each other
MINHO-"she's right"
Y/N-"i know i am"
you laughed and then stood up
THOMAS-"so what do we do?"
Y/N-"we get the gladers and come back at night. the grievers shouldn't be in there because they'll be in the maze."
MINHO-"sounds like a plan"
you ran back to the glade and explained the plan. some gladers said they weren't going and you tried to convince them but it wasn't working.
Y/N-"guys it's the way out"
the gladers were torn but you convinced most of the ones that were on the fence.
TERESA "what are you talking about?"
Newt walked over with her
THOMAS-"we found a way out"
NEWT-"are you bloody serious? where?!"
Y/N-"off the cliff
he looked you in the eyes and you looked down after a few seconds.
TERESA-"you want us to jump off a cliff?!"
you talked under your breathe still looking at the ground.
Y/N-"you maybe"
minho and thomas laughed but Teresa hadn't heard it. Newt smiled and looked at you MINHO-"there's a room we need to go to"
TERESA-"how do you know that's the way out"
Y/N-"it just is"
NEWT-"well who's going first to make sure?"
THOMAS-"i am"
Y/N-"no way. i am"
you guys started arguing and Minho rolled his eyes
MINHO-"anyway we have to go"
he grabbed both of you and walked away
MINHO "I'm going"
you all started arguing like kids and Alby walked over with chuck.
ALBY-"what are you all going on about?"
Y/N-"who gets to go in the room first? me right?"
THOMAS-"no i should"
MINHO-"i'm the obvious choice"
CHUCK-"all of you"
MINHO-"what?"
ALBY-"all of you go"
Y/N-"fine...but i'm first"
you ran off and they chased after you yelling and complaining. You were all ready at night and you, minho, and thomas led the way to the cliff. you didn't see any grievers on the way which was good. on the last turn you saw a griever and stopped everyone quickly. they all ran into each other and barely stopped in time.
Y/N-"theres a griever. everyone get ready to fight."
ALBY-"they need one glader right?every night they take one..."
he ran towards it and you tried to grab him but it was too late. your ran after him but thomas and Minho grabbed you. You tried to get away but they were too strong, you fell to the floor in Thomas' arms and watched as Alby sacrificed himself.
Y/N-"i could've saved him"
NEWT-"there was no way of saving him"
Y/N-"there was..."
Minho and Thomas looked at newt but didn't say anything.
TERESA "you guys dragged us out here just to get us all killed"
you stood up and walked over to her
MINHO-"y/n-"
you punched her in the face and she fell back into Frypan
FRYPAN-"ooo honey that's gonna leave a mark"
you turned around and walked back over to Thomas. you turned the corner and they followed.
TERESA-"what the hell y/n. what happened to not hurting another glader?"
Y/N-"you are NOT a glader"
CHUCK-"you also kind of locked her in a shed...so..."
You kept walked towards the room and you looked at Thomas. You were at the edge
Y/N-"wait until i say to come"
MINHO-"be careful"
you got ready to jump
NEWT-"y/n seriously... be careful"
You smiled at him and teresa looked pissed. you I jumped and landed in a small, dark, cold room. you grabbed a flashlight and looked around, you saw a griever sleeping in front of you.
Y/N-"oh sh!t"
THOMAS-"why isn't she saying anything?"
MINHO-"i don't know.. what do we do?"
FRYPAN-"she said not to go if she doesn't say anything"
thomas looked at frypan and then ran for the hole. he jumped and landed on the floor behind you. You covered his mouth with your hand. His eyes got wide and he looked at you.
Y/N-"there's a griever, what did i say about not following."
minho landed next to him and he smiled. Thomas covered his mouth and nodded towards the griever
NEWT-"are they bloody stupid?!"
CHUCK-"they're aren't gonna let her die alone"
they gave him a dirty look
CHUCK-"i'm not saying she's gonna die!"
teresa laughed and chuck looked down.
YOU-"what do we do?"
THOMAS "your eyes"
MINHO-"its asleep though"
it was in the way and you couldnt go around it to get to the computer
THOMAS-"we have to wake it up"
