He pulled me back by my waist and in front of him. He was towering over me as he sat me down in the chair. He kneeled down to my level and looked at my face.
"You got something to tell me sweetheart?" My breath hitched as I slowly nodded no.
He sm...

The days following were awkward. I didn't stop for Mattheo to ask further questions, the look on his face showed shock however. It was true however, he knew it. I loved him so much it hurt, and it's hard to watch him grow without me being there to help him.
With Thanksgiving break now, mean everyone else spend our days singing to ukulele and the drums, partying, and playing games of course. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. Harry and I were finally able to spend some much needed sibling bonding time together, me and Ron were able to play chess more, and I tolerated Hermione's nerdy banters. All was well in the world.
The day before Thanksgiving, all the students were sat at one table since most other students were out on vacation, so there was no need for four tables. Ginny and Harry were next to me, and Loren and Mattheo were both in front of me. Loren didn't look up from his plate once, and Mattheo kept looking up at me, a worried expression on his face. I couldn't take his looks of pity anymore, and excused myself to leave early. Harry questioned where I was going but I simply ignored him.
When I finally arrived at the dorms, I plopped on the bed and closed my eyes, to fall asleep. I got zero sleep last night because of the mini, yet chaotic party at the Ravenclaw house.
When I woke up, something felt wrong. I sat up in my bed with a start. My senses were on overload, and I felt something pulling at my chest. I looked over, and saw Ginny also slightly waking up. "Do you feel that?" I saw shakily. Ginny shakes her head no and looks out our window. She stands up immediately and walks up to the window.
"Snow...."
"What is it?"
She points her hand towards me and motions for me to come forward, while still keeping her eyes outside the window. I quickly run over to the window and widen my eyes at the sight, the feeling of horror I was feeling before sunk in. It makes sense now.
"Death eaters," I saw slowly. I couldn't believe it. Around 40 maybe 50 death eaters were swishing through the trees and grass and rushing to our school. I quickly turn around and grip Ginny by the shoulders and turn her towards me. "Listen to me. Get your wand, and hide in the Gryffindor attic." She's about to protest but I cut her off. "Listen to me. Stay safe! Gather the younger kids with you too. I'll wake up the older kids, please listen to me!" I pat her shoulder in reassurance before running to Hermione's dorm, but I find it empty. The entire girls dormitory is empty now... I rush over to the boys dormitory and find it to be empty too. In a panic, I rush down into the common room and sigh in relief when I see Harry, Ron, Hermione, and a bunch of other older kids with their wands out, gathering a few things.
"Snow! Thank god you're here! Don't worry about the younger kids, we got them all in the attic." Harry quickly embraces me before giving me a knowing look. This is really happening. We all quickly agree to divide into groups of 4, before running out. By the time we exit the Gryffindor clubhouse, it's too late. Younger kids from other houses are screaming and running. Smoke is coming out from the walls, and horrifying screams and cries for help are being heard all around. I rush to the open area to the right of the clubhouse and gasp at the sight. On the grounds of Hogwarts are people running, death eaters fighting professors and students. Mcgonagall was fighting three death eaters, knocking out two of them within a minute. I silently praise her before turning around. "Let's go!"
