TW: Self Harm Mentions

"Fuck!" I was on the bathroom floor, just in the Gryffindor rooms instead of the one where I was... yeah. Afterwards was always the worst. The stinging pain. The cleaning up afterwards. The lying. The pretend, "I'm okay!" smiles. Walking as if you aren't in pain. Pulling up leggings or shorts over your legs hurts like hell.

"You ok in there?" Ginny called out.

"I'm fine! I just... I stubbed my toe!" I responded.

"OK... hurry, I need to shower!"

I quickly finished pulling up all my clothes, gritting my teeth through the pain and opened the door. "All yours," I say as I head downstairs. "Morning!" Harry, Ron, and Hermione were sitting in the common room, Hermione standing over the two of them as they were looking over parchment papers. "What're you looking over?"

"These two duffers forgot to do their Charms homework! You two are so idiotic!" I saw Ron bite his lip so he wouldn't snicker at Hermione's tantrum, and continue writing.

"You have fun with that, I'll be in the Great Hall." I step out of the clubhouse and start making my way through the Great Hall. Multiple other people from all the houses were walking in the same direction as me so they could eat breakfast at the Great Hall.

"Morning idiot." I flinched at the sudden voice and turn around.

"Mattheo, seriously?" He chuckled and started walked side by side with me.

"Are you not hungover?"

Shit. "Oh, I am. I literally have the work headache in the entire world." His face showed a look of pity as the two of us continued making our way to the Great Hall. "But I drank like, 10 glasses of water or whatever so I'm feeling a bit better."

We were nearing the door, the great big doors already open. "Good, see you during break!"

"See ya," I respond as he walks towards the Slytherin tables. I quickly walk to the Gryffindor tables and plop myself against a random person.

"Hi Snow!" I look to my right and have to stop myself from groaning in annoyance.

"Hey Lavender," I say, while taking a bite of toast from the plate in front of me.

"So... you're like besties with Ron Weasley? What does he like more... butter beer or chocolates?"

Oh please tell me she is fucking joking right now. "He likes... both I suppose? Just give him anything to be honest." She scoffed and turned to face me more.

"Ron is MY, love. So if you have any feelings for him, get rid of them!" I almost spit out the food in my mouth.

"Lavender, I have a boyfriend!"

"Oh..."

Two minutes of my life I will NEVER get back. As I continue taking bites of my toast in despair, the daily flow of mail comes in. I never get anything so when an envelope drops in front of me from my owl, Mackie, I am surprised. I'm about to open the seal when the teachers announce breakfast to be over. I stuff the letter in my school bag for later and rush to Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

DADA Class:

All the Slytherins and Gryffindors were in the dueling room. It was dead silent as Professor Snape finished giving his lecture on the dueling stage. "Any horseplay and you can goodbye to your grades." He sauntered back and forth, before finally stopping. "Mr.Malfoy and..." he said the last part in and even more bitter tone, "Ms.Potter can step up to be first."

Me and Draco shared a quick glance of disgust and stepped up on the two ends of the stage. "Scared Pot-"

"Remember what happened last time you said that?"

"Ms.Potter, whatever is with the bickering?"

"He literally started it-"

He raised a finger, silencing me. "Two points off from Gryffindor. Now hurry up, you're wasting enough time for us already." I heard snickers from the Slytherin side of the room. I scoffed and stood on my end.

"Begin!"

The two of us bowed and pointed our wands at each other.

"Levicorpus!" He spelled.

"Protego!"

There was something different about his spells from the last time we dueled during a class. There was more anger behind it, more power. Although, I guess I could say the same for mine. I launched back a counter spell.

"Stupefy!"

"Expelliarmus!" He said at the same time.

Neither of our spells hit the other person, but rather each other. The two of us are fighting to see who will win as our two spells are being fought against together against the two of us. I hear his sounds of struggle as he moves both hands to his wand to resist against my spell. And all of a sudden, everything.

Everything that led me to this moment. All the duels that have led to deaths up until this moment come rushing back to me. The weakness that I felt, how powerless I was. Never. Never again.

"HOLY SHIT!" I hear someone yell. It's as if I was blind before I heard that because the next thing I hear is the blood curdling scream of Draco Malfoy. He is sent flying back as I win the fight between our two spells. He falls on his back with such force, it emits a CRACK, sound. I'm surprised his back didn't break.

Snape quickly runs to him and assists him up on his feet, where he is groaning in pain. He flashes a look at me and squints his eyes in confusion and disappointment. I shrink back, unsure what to do. "Get off! Everyone return to the classroom and begin reading Chapter 5! I'll be checking over Mr.Malfoy for a moment..."

Everyone quietly shuffles out of the dueling room and Snape begins talking to Draco. When we enter the class, I'm exhausted because of how many people were talking about what just happened.  I opened the book and flipped to Chapter 5, reading about the most dangerous spell that can only be done in water and how to defend yourself, blah blah blah. After 10 minutes, Snape still wasn't back and I had finished the chapter and even took notes. I sighed, looking around, seeing that everyone was still immersed into the books.

Slowly, I reached into my bag to pull out the envelope I received earlier. There was literally nothing else to do.

Dear Snow

Forbidden Forest. Tonight. 11 PM. Don't be late.

From, Tyler.

What the fu-

Hi guys! Thank you SOOOO much for 10K Reads!!! Also, I wanna talk about smtg important. One of my biggest pet peeves in writing is when a character goes through a mental health challenge and it's only a big thing for like 2 chapters. My biggest fear is that my story will become that, which is why it will be a longer theme. I hope you guys are enjoying/understanding the seriousness of the more dark aspect entering this story.

Why do you think Tyler wants to meet?

How do you think Snow will heal mentally?

Will Mattheo find out? If so, gimme suggestions on how u want him too and how he'll help.
