Most people were still partying by the time I came back to the party. Loren was still in the lake. When he turned around he got up to walk over.

"You ok? What happened?" I wanted to tell him, it'd feel like I'm cheating without telling him something that really did feel like love. I just shook my head.

"I'll talk to you later, Loren," I say as I walk away. I walk to the left area, where there are more trees. I walk a bit further in until the sounds of the students are drowned out a bit more. All I hear is the occasional hoot of an owl and the splashing of the lake.

I stop when I hear a giggle. It sounded of that of a girl. Then I heard an even louder laugh, and a few murmured whispers. It sounded like a boy. I relaxed, realizing it must've been a couple that snuck out of the party to have some alone time. No one would hide in these trees anyway, it'd be too easy for someone to take a walk and find them. I was in a spot where I could see the people at the party, but they couldn't see me.

I walked a bit further and widened my eyes before hiding behind a tree. Ginny and Seamus were sitting against a tree. Seamus had his arm around her shoulders, and they seemed to be having, a casual, yet flirty conversation. I was about to walk away until I heard Harry's name.

"I'm so glad you were able to get over your crush over Harry." Ginny smiled uncomfortably before looking to the left, as if she felt guilty. "I mean, that bloke is crazy, I mean him and his sister, they both are, constantly raving about the return of He Who Must not be Named and-"

"You know what Seamus," she stood up and dusted her pants. "I think this was a mistake, I don't date blokes who make fun of my friends." I silently celebrated, slay Ginny. I heard Seamus scoff.
"Wow, slut till the end."
I was about to step out and beat this asshole up until....
Ginny turned back around and stomped on over to Seamus. He cowered back a bit at her presence. "I haven't even had sex before! How the hell am I a slut? I see your boyfriend skills are as bad as your vocabulary!" She walked again once again, like the queen she is. When she walked by the tree I was cowering behind I surfaced and linked arms with her. I smirked at her like a proud mother and she smiled slightly. I turned back towards Seamus and flipped him off, enjoying his face of shock.

I told Ginny the whole Mattheo and Loren thing that happened at the party, and thankfully she's a good listener. By the time we came back to the party, most people were leaving.

Loren walked up to the pair of us with a disappointed look on his face. "Snow? Are we going to talk now?" Ginny glanced at me and I nodded, notioning for her to go. She gently patted my arm in reassurance before leaving.

"So you had time to go off and find Ginny, but not tell me what happened between you and Mattheo?" He crossed his arms while looking at me. I couldn't argue against that, he's right.

I nodded. I didn't have the pride or right to say anything else. One thing that didn't change about Loren much was that he still had the power to remain calm, even in horrible situations, and perhaps it was his silence that made him so scary. Without saying another word, he grabbed my arm and dragged me away from the party. I didn't protest, and he wasn't hurting me, so it was fine. When we got to his dorm, he threw me my clothes from before. "Hurry up and change, we need to discuss. I snuck into the common room where there was a bathroom on the side. I quickly dried myself with a spell and changed, before swiftly getting back into his dorm, prepared for a lecture. When I entered, I sat next to him on his bed.

He stayed in cold stone silence, and I had no idea if I was supposed to say anything. "You know what my question is Snow, just answer it. I know that if it was something small, you would just tell me." He turned to face me, waiting for an answer.
