(ENG) Chapter Fourteen - Bouquet of Rose

Singto accidentally bumped into Wan in the hallway and jumped in surprise as if he had just seen a ghost. He recalled his truth or dare game with Pha which ended in the bed, making him feel guilty every time he saw Wan.

"What happened to you?" Wan asked suspiciously. "Do I look like a ghost?" She then took out her phone and checked her appearance.

"N-no, you look very beautiful today..." Singto complimented awkwardly.

Wan was flattered, "Aw, Phana also said the same thing," she said and blushed.

Singto tried to lighten the atmosphere, "It seems the weather in your heart is sunny today?" he commented, "Did you get a new customer or got a surprise from Phana?"

"Er, no..." Wan said briefly, "We have to work professionally, as an insurance agent you have to be able to show a happy facial expression in all conditions!"

Singto nodded in understanding, then thinks for a moment and changed the topic, "By the way, did you go home with Weir last night?" he asked curiously.

Wan's expression changed instantly as if was being pointed at with a gun, she froze for a moment and stammered, "W-why do you ask that all of a sudden?" then laughed awkwardly.

"I saw you and Weir leave the room together..."

Wan immediately bring her hand to cover Singto's mouth and looked back to check if anyone was around, then glared at the man.

"W-we were just chatting outside, then suddenly I wasn't feeling well and decided to go home," explained Wan casually,  "Didn't Phana tell you?"

"He did," said Singto while nodding and added, "He was worried about you and called you many times, even went to your apartment, but he couldn't find you and came home disappointed," he paused and looked at the girl with a suspicious gaze, "Are you..."

"I fell asleep after taking medicine!" said Wan nervously cutting Singto's sentence. "I have explained to him this morning."

"Really?" Singto doubted the answer.

"What do you mean?" the girl glared at him sharply, then realized something. "Wait, did you stay at Pha's place last night?"

Singto almost choked on his saliva, he cleaned his throat and answer honestly, "It was late at night, Phana couldn't take me home so he suggested I stay at his apartment, after that he went looking for you," he paused and suddenly realized something.

"By the way, your earrings are only one side?" he exclaimed while asking, "Did you forget to put it on or you dropped it?"

Wan was taken aback and immediately touched her ears, "Aw, I must have accidentally dropped it on the bed, I forgot to take it off because I came home late at night and went straight to sleep..." she panicked and immediately covered her mouth when she realized she had slipped.

Singto was dumbfounded, then grinned, he finally got the answer in his head. Wan cursed her own stupidity and invite Singto to the café, telling him where she had gone after the event honestly.

After excusing herself to the toilet, she secretly meets Weir outside and chats, then suddenly the man feels dizzy, so Wan offers to take him to the hospital. The examination report said that Weir was suffering from low blood pressure and doctors advised him to get IVs. Wan couldn't bear to leave him, so she decided to stay with the man at the hospital until the infusion was finished and returned home around 2 AM.

Singto listened intently and didn't comment, and wondered if he should thank Weir.

"By the way, what happened between you and Weir in the past? How did you two separate?" Singto asked curiously and changed the topic.
