(ENG) Chapter Fifteen - Heartbreak

The clock struck 18.12, Singto was getting ready to leave the office and made sure Phana didn't follow him. He stopped at the cafe and waited until dinner time arrived while ordering coffee and fiddling with his cell phone alone.

Half an hour later, he received an incoming message from Weir sending a map of the restaurant's location, then borrowed the bathroom to change into the clothes Wan had prepared before leaving.

Singto arrived at the restaurant around 19.20 and immediately entered the restaurant after parking his motorbike. He was greeted by the waiter, who escorted him to a private room that Weir had ordered. He gets a message from Weir informing him that he is stuck in traffic and will be arriving slightly behind schedule.

Singto was forced to wait again patiently while admiring the interior of the European-style room and occasionally checking his cell phone to see if there was any chat from Phana. He took a deep breath and exhaled disappointedly, then remembered Phana's expression when he left the car seemed different or just his feelings, thought Singto.

Ten minutes later Weir finally arrived, and Singto immediately stood up to welcome him, Weir greeted Singto and thanked him for agreeing to fulfill his invitation.

"Where's Wan?" asked Singto to the point.

"She's on her way, I think she'll be here in a few minutes," Weir replied with a smile and added, "Try to enjoy yourself, you're my special guest today."

"Aw, I thought your special guest is Wan?" asked the man surprised and confused.

Weir nodded and explained, "Without you, Wan and I couldn't celebrate this special day together, so you are our special guest."

Singto nodded in understanding and sat back down.

Ten minutes passed and Wan still hasn't arrived, Weir tried to open the conversation to ease the atmosphere, "Sorry, made you wait so long, do you want to order something while waiting?" he handed Singto a menu book, but the man politely refused, he only hoped that Wan would come soon so he could leave the place.

Weir seemed to be able to read Singto's body sign, who looked agitated and said, "If you need help in the future, don't hesitate to tell me," he offered.

"Er, no need," replied Singto, "I just ask that you don't ask me to do this again in the future..."

Weir was surprised and laughed, then nodded in understanding.

Not long after, there was a knock on the door that was none other than Wan. Weir immediately stood up to open the door and greet her.

Singto was surprised to see the girl's appearance, he was wearing the exact same jacket as him with a combination of hat, glasses, and mask.

"Aw, I feel like meeting my fans," Singto said jokingly.

Wan immediately took off his mask and greeted the two of them, "Sorry, I've made you guys wait so long," she then glanced at Singto and replied, "I told you, only you are suitable for doing this because apart from having the same posture, our height is not much different."

Singto didn't want to believe it and protested, "Do you see me as a woman?"

"I didn't," cut Wan, "I just thought if I disguised myself as a man, surely no one would recognize me."

Weir cleared his throat and interrupted, "Even if you disguise yourself as an old man I can still recognize you," he said, making Wan flattered and embarrassed at the same time. The two exchanged glances for a moment while smiling, making the third person present feel awkward.

Singto shortly averted his eyes and did not make a sound, luckily Wan realized his presence and interrupted, "Alright, I'll excuse myself to the bathroom first and come back soon," she said goodbye and left the room again.
