Hope's POV:

I was sitting on the couch in Dr. Price's office having another session. So far only Kaitlyn and Matt knew about my appointments and I asked them not to say anything to anyone at least not yet until I was ready.

"How have you been this week, Hope?"

"Good, the ranch has been peaceful."

"Tell me a little more about the ranch, what exactly do you do there?"

"Well, we have livestock and crop that we tend year-round too."

"And do you help that?"

"A little but I have four ranch hands that are mainly in charge of all of that, my primary responsibility is the horse rescue and rehab I run."

"How long have you worked with horses?"

"For a long time, my dad and grandparents learned that I had a way with horses when I was really young, but I didn't start working with horses until I was in my teens."

"And how have you rescued and rehabilitated horses?"

"I learned that horses are just as intuitive as us if not more and that if one goes through some kind of trauma it can leave them lasting effects, a majority of them being mental, and then there are some that will have behavioral issues so I work with them through their trauma or whatever issue it may be."

"So you like a therapist for horses?"

I laughed, "I guess so, I never thought of it that way, I just listen to them to help them be the horse they used to be?"

I noticed Dr. Price smirk at me, "and has any horse you ever worked with fought you?"

"Yes, and I see what you did there."

"Just trying to show you that all I want to do is help you through whatever it is that you are going through just like you help all those horses, but I think we can get more into that next week."

"Alright, I will see you next week, Dr. Price."

With that I left Dr. Price's office, as I walking to my truck my phone went off, I checked it and saw that it was a call from Scott.

"Hey Scott, what's up?"

"Hope, where are you right now?"

"I'm in Topeka but I'm about to head back to the ranch, why, what's going on?"

"How fast can you get the trailer and then to the clinic?"

"Um if I leave now maybe an hour total, why?"

"I have a mare who just recently lost her foal,"

"Oh God, okay, let me call Matt to have the trailer ready and then I'll be at the clinic in no time?"

"Alright, I'll see you in a bit."

"You too, Scott."

We hung up and then I immediately dialed Matt.

"Hey boss, what's going on?"

"Okay, I need you to get the horse trailer ready, I'm on my way back, Scott called and said the he has a mare who lost her foal so I need to go pick her up."

"No worries, I'll have ready so that we can hitch it to the truck fast."

"Perfect, I'll should be there in about 30 minutes."
