(Quick A/N: this next part will be through Winter's perspective that Wanda and Bucky will be seeing.)
Bucky and Wanda's POV:
Winter's Memories:
Scott nodded in agreement with Hope and they both continued to work together treating the horse until they were done.
"Alright, I will send you the address of where the horse was," Scott said.
"Okay, I'll stop by and look around and see what I find, whoever it was, if they were in a hurry chances are something was left behind," Hope said.
"Just be careful Hope, you got it."
"I will."
From there, we watch as the memory shifts into a new one. We saw that Hope was in the barn office this time working on her laptop and there were some documents scattered around her when her phone went off answering quickly.
"Hey Scott, what's up?"
"Wait, what?"
"And you're sure?"
"Okay, send me the information."
"Nothing yet, I need to do a little more research and then develop a plan."
Hope hung up her phone and got back to work.
The memory shifts again and Wanda and I notice that we are out in a field.
"Where are we now?" I asked Wanda.
"Not sure, but all we can do is watch," Wanda said to me.
We watch as we come to a halt and then Hope appears in front of us.
"Alright girl, we are going to need to be careful and quiet."
Hope turns her back to us and we look over her shoulder and notice that she has a map and compass in her hands.
"Alright, Luckout was found here," she marks a spot on the map, "Scott's clinic is here," she marks another spot, "And the rodeo grounds are here," Hope marks one last spot on the map.
"This means that they have to be keeping the horses in a spot that is within good distance of both the clinic and the rodeo grounds, but still far enough to not be found."
We see Hope look at the map a moment longer before she does something else that we miss, she tucks the map into her jacket and gets back on Winter.
"Okay Winter, let's go find those horses," Hope gets Winter moving again and they take off.
Wanda and I could tell that several hours had now passed from the position of the sun and all we could see around us were open fields but then we saw it, a large barn that was about a half mile ahead of us.
"There it is girl, come on, let's go, HA!" Winter took off running, the barn getting bigger as we got closer.
We soon arrived, Hope got down from Winter and tied her to a post that was next to the barn, we could hear the horses inside calling out.
"Don't worry, I'm here to help," Hope called out as she headed inside.
It soon felt like forever since Hope had gone inside the barn, we noticed several flashes go off inside, and then she came running out with her phone in hand, she stood next to Winter for a moment when we heard a ping.
"FRIDAY, I just sent you some pictures, I need you to add those documents with the pictures included and send them in an encrypted email to you know who, then start tracking my location," with that Hope ended the call putting her phone into the bag on Winter's saddle, then ran back inside the barn.
"What the hell is she doing?" I asked.
"What do you think, Bucky, she rescuing those horses," Wanda said.
I could feel myself get agitated and Wanda sensed it.
"Bucky, you need to stop, remember that this is a memory of what already happened and there is nothing you can do to change it," Wanda said.
"Yes, but it doesn't mean I have to like it," I retorted back.
"Doesn't matter, you need to stay calm, remember that we are inside of Winter Moon's mind and you don't want to cause her unnecessary stress because I'm sure that if something happens to her and Hope finds out, you're a dead man walking," Wanda warned me.
I huffed a laugh," I doubt that."
Wanda's eyes glowed for a moment and then they cleared, she smirked at me.
"That is not what Winter says," Wanda said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean that it's not just Hope you will need to worry about but also Midnight, now stay calm," Wanda said.
We turned our attention back to the barn, I wasn't sure how much time passed this time but then we heard something in the distance and it was getting closer, Hope must have heard too because she came out of the barn.
"Shit."
Hope quickly untied Winter from the post and mounted her again then went off a few yards and hid in a spot that had several trees and shrubs giving her and Winter good cover, by now it was getting dark.
We saw a truck with a huge horse trailer coming toward the barn, the truck parked next to the barn and three men got out, all of them heading inside. From where we were Hope got down from Winter and quietly walked over back to the barn and peeked through a window, she had her phone in hand and was recording a video. Though she didn't record for long, from there she carefully walked over to the truck and took a picture of the plates then ran back to where Winter was waiting.
Hope did something on her phone, possibly sending the video and picture to FRIDAY then tucked her phone back into the saddle bag and turned her attention back to the barn.
"I'm not liking this at all, girl," Hope said to Winter, "there has to be something that I can do to stall."
Hope was chewing her lip, I could tell she was trying to come up with something.
"Wait a minute, let me see if it's still in here," Hope was checking in the other saddle bag, she then pulled out a small slim box, "yes, thank you Dad, and your weird cautious tendencies."
Hope opened the box and I noticed that it was a tool kit, she pulled out a screwdriver.
"Okay, Winter, I'm going to need you to stay here, I won't take long," Hope whispered to Winter.
She quickly ran over to the truck and trailer, while keeping an eye out, she got to work and punctured a hole in several tires on both the truck and trailer then ran back to Winter.
