Chapter 50

Bucky's POV:

Hope had been gone for a while now and I couldn't help but worry because we hadn't heard from her yet, I was about to say something when FRIDAY came on.

FRIDAY: Boss, she needs you, now.

"What's going on is Hope hurt?" Tony asked.

FRIDAY: Just come to this location.

Tony's phone goes off, he pulls it out to check it, "Alright, tell her I will be there in a few minutes."

Tony ran out of the living toward his room, then came out a minute later with his arc reactor in hand and ran out the door. We all follow behind him and watched as his iron suit encased his body and he took off a moment later, we all then went back inside.

"FRIDAY, what happened, where is Hope?" Pepper asked.

FRIDAY: She is safe, unfortunately, her friends were in an accident on the way back.

"Are they okay?" Pepper asked.

FRIDAY: No ma'am, Daniel had already passed when Ms. Stark arrived.

"And Kaitlyn?"

FRIDAY: She passed a few minutes later after Ms. Stark arrived.

All the girls gasped.

"Do they know what happened to them?" I asked.

FRIDAY: Unfortunately, not much right now, we only know for sure that it was a hit-and-run because the other vehicle was not at the scene.

"Thank you, FRIDAY, let us know when Hope and Tony are on their way back," Pepper said.

FRIDAY: Yes, ma'am.

"Do we know if they have any family?" Steve asked.

"No, both Daniel and Kaitlyn were only children and both of their parents have since passed," Matt spoke up.

"What's going to happen to Emma," Wanda asked.

"There is no need to worry about Emma, she has been left in good hands if anything ever happened to Kaitlyn and Daniel," Matt said.

Everyone looked at each other confused, minus Pepper and myself, we looked at each other and shared a knowing smile.

All I could do now was pray that Hope would get through this heartbreak.

Hope's POV:

I felt completely numb that I didn't notice when police and paramedics arrived until an officer touched my shoulder making me jump.

"It's okay miss, I just want to ask you a few questions," the officer said.

I nodded and told him everything that I could remember at the moment.

"Thank you, miss, if we have any more questions we will call you," the officer said I simply nodded.

By now the paramedics had taken Kaitlyn and Daniel out of the car and put them into the body bags. I was lost in thought that I didn't hear Dad arrive until I heard his voice.

"Hope!"

"Dad?"

I ran to him and he hugged me.

"Are you okay, sweetie?"

I shook my head, "They're both gone, Dad."

He hugged me tighter to comfort me, "I know and I'm sorry honey, but we need to get you to come now, come on."

Dad led me back to my car and helped me get into the passenger side, once he made sure I was buckled in, he then ran over to the driver's side got in, and started the car, that was the last thing I remembered as I must have passed out after.
