Chapter 59

Bucky's POV:

It was early afternoon when I saw Hope walking to her truck, I quickly went after her before she got inside.

"Where are you off to today?"

Hope gave me a questioning look before she spoke, "A little curious there aren't you, Jamie?"

"Jamie?"

I was a little taken aback hearing her call me that since I haven't been called that by anyone since Rebecca.

"Yeah, is it okay?"

I smiled, "Yeah, it's just no one has called me that since my sister back in the 40's."

"Were you always called Bucky?"

"Yeah, since I was a kid, I preferred that over James, except when you do it, I like you calling me, James."

"Well I'm honored, now as for your question, Mr. Nosey, I going into town, I have my weekly session with Dr. Price today."

"Oh, okay, well text me when you get there, I want to make sure you get there safely, okay?"

Hope stood on her tippy toes and gave me a peck on the lips, "Of course I will, I'll see you when I get back."

"Drive safe," I called after her as I took a step back and let her get inside the truck, I waved bye to her as she drove off, and she stuck her arm out and waved by to me.

Once I saw her truck disappear I went back to work. It was over two hours and I hadn't heard from Hope to let me know she arrived back. I had been out in one of the fields helping one of the guys with some of the farming equipment when we arrived back at the ranch and saw the truck was parked by the barn again.

As I walked into the barn I saw Matt.

"When did Hope get back?"

"About 20 minutes ago, she looked like she had a lot on her mind when she got back and went and got Winter saddled up and left, my guess was she probably went to the river, she goes there to clear her mind when she has a lot going on and I'm not surprised with everything that's happened lately."

"Do you know which way the river is?"

Matt walked over to the barn entrance, "It will be two miles in that direction," he pointed south of the ranch.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

I decided to just run to catch up to Hope instead of tacking up a horse. Thanks to the super soldier serum, it took me under 30 minutes to get to the river and find Hope and Winter.

When I did, I was in shock at what I saw, Hope was wading out into the river completely naked, when the water got to her waist she plunged in and a moment later came up for air, and it was a stunning sight to see. I was frozen in place, completely transfixed on Hope that I didn't hear her call my name.

"James, James, JAMES!"

I looked up to see that Hope had noticed me.

"Sorry, what did you say?"

"I asked what you are doing here and how did you know where to find me?"

"Oh, uh sorry, I got worried when I didn't hear back from you earlier and when I got back to the barn I saw your truck was parked out there, so I asked Matt if he had seen you and he told me where to look for you," I explained to Hope.

I noticed Hope looking around me and then back to me, "Did you walk here?"

"Uh no, I ran over."

"You ran here two miles?"

I smirked at Hope, "I'm a super soldier, remember."

"I can see."

There was an awkward silence for a moment.

"So, what are you doing in there?" I asked her.

"Cooling off, you should get in, the water feels amazing in this heat today."

And with a smirk, Hope dived back into the water, but I didn't see her pop up again. After a minute of waiting I started to get worried so I quickly kicked off my shoes, then took off my shirt and jeans and ran in. I dived to look for Hope but I didn't see her, I popped up for air and yelled put her name.

"HOPE!"

"Calm down, Jamie."

I turned around and she was right behind me.

"My God, don't do that to me again."

Hope giggled, "It got you to get in."

"Matt said that you come here when you have a lot on your mind, what's going on?"

Hope let out a sigh and turned her back to me, I moved closer to her.

"Hope, what's going on?"

"I don't know where to begin, let alone how you will take."

"Me, why are you worried about my reaction."

The next thing I knew, Hope turned around and hugged me tightly as she buried her face into my neck. I wrapped my arms around her holding her tight against me, we stayed like that for a while, the entire time I tried to not focus on how I could feel her breasts against my chest or that my cock was starting to press again her belly.

A moment later, Hope pulled away a little to look at me.

"What is it?"

"After I signed the adoption papers the attorney gave me one last letter that Kaitlyn left me, I had forgotten about it until this morning."

"What did she say in the letter?"

"She said that there is a chance for me to be able to have a baby of my own, and that when I was ready to talk to Dr. Gray."

"Hope, that's wonderful news, but why were you afraid to tell me?"

"Because we just got together, and the fact that I also just adopted Emma, I didn't want to scare you away."

"Hope, you could never scare me away, I love you, and I want to be with you, which means us building a life together with Emma and any other children you want to have if this is something that you want, I will support you in whatever way you need me to just like you have supported me since I showed up here."

Hope smiled as she leaned into me, I leaned in as well till our lips met, I ran my tongue on her lower lip and asked for access, she opened and I deepened the kiss. I then moved to her jawline and started to nibble my way to her ear and then down her neck, Hope moved her head to give me better access.

I then pulled a little away to look at Hope, her eyes were beginning to darken and I could see the lust in them but I wanted her to be sure this was what she wanted because I didn't want to rush her.

"Are you sure, I don't want to rush you if you are not ready yet."

Hope smiled, "Yes, I'm sure, I want to have a good memory to think back on and not the violent one anymore."

"Alright, but I'm gonna go slow and you tell me if or when you need me to stop, understand."

"Yes."
