Bucky's POV:
It was late and there was still no sign of Hope, Matt and the guys all returned to the ranch before it got completely dark out.
Pepper had gotten Morgan and Emma to bed and afterward joined the rest of us in Hope's office as we planned what to do next, meanwhile Tony was on the phone with the police.
"Alright, yes, thank you, we'll see you shortly," Tony ended the call.
"What did the police say?" Pepper asked.
"They are sending a couple of officers including some K-9 units to help with the search," Tony said.
"Alright then, what do we do in the meantime?" Pepper asked
Matt spoke first, "FRIDAY, can you please pull up a birds-eye view of at least 50 square miles with the ranch in the center?"
FRIDAY: Of course.
Suddenly a projection appeared over Hope's desk.
"Why only 50 miles?" Bruce asked.
"Bucky said that Midnight took off at an entire run, meaning that he galloped away, an average healthy horse can only make it 2 miles at full gallop and then they tire out, though with Midnight who knows because it's never been tested out, but if you take into factor Hope's emotional state, Midnight would have sensed it and probably pushed himself past the limit," Matt said.
"Why do you think that?" Sam asked.
"For Hope, Midnight would do the impossible to protect her and keep her safe, there is no doubt about that," Dylan spoke up this time.
"Dylan's right, both Winter and Midnight have a deep bond and connection with Hope, but with Midnight, it's like they're both on another level," Caleb said.
"But how can you be so sure?" Steve asked.
"Because that connection saved Hope one other time," Tyler suddenly spoke up, we all looked at him but he was only looking at Matt, Dylan, and Caleb.
"What do you mean by that?" Tony asked but none of the guys answered.
Pepper was about to question them again when FRIDAY spoke.
FRIDAY: I don't mean to alarm anyone but I picking up motion outside the house.
"That must be the police officers here already," Tony said.
FRIDAY: I'm afraid it's not them.
"Then who else could it be?" Tony asked.
We all then bolted out of the office and ran to the door, praying that it was Hope, but it wasn't.
"It's Midnight, and he's by himself," Matt said sounding worried.
"Do you think Hope is probably inside and we might have missed her?" Wanda asked.
"No, FRIDAY, would have told us when she arrived," Tony said.
"Is it just me or does he look distressed?" Bruce asked.
"It's not, he is and I think he's trying to tell us something," Tyler said.
"Hope, he knows where Hope is?" I immediately said.
We all watched as Midnight kept pacing back and forth and letting out a high-pitched neigh, suddenly we heard another horse respond with the same neigh. We all looked over and saw Winter appear over by the fence, Midnight ran over to her where they stood on either side of the fence.
"What are they doing?" Bruce asked.
"Um, guys, I think we are going to need to get back on the horses," Tyler said.
