Bucky's POV:
The moment we saw the lights to the barn and house, Matt and I booked it, FRIDAY must have told everyone that we were there because when we got to the house, everyone was outside waiting for us. Steve got to me first and gently took Hope, Dr. Gray was beside him.
"Quickly, get her to her bedroom, FRIDAY, the moment she is laid on her bed I want you to take a full body scan of her and look for any life-threatening injuries."
FRIDAY: Yes, Dr. Gray.
Tyler, Caleb, and Dylan came over and took Midnight, Winter, and Duke to the barn, the rest of us all followed after Steve and Dr. Gray who made their way to Hope's bedroom where Steve gently laid her down and Dr. Gray started to assess her.
"I'm going to need everyone out of the room," Dr. Gray ordered.
"Wait, why?" Tony asked.
"I don't want Hope to be startled when she wakes up, even more so depending on what her state of mind was when she had her accident, trust me, I will let you all know once she was awake."
I decided not to argue with her, "Tony, let's do what she says, Hope is in good hands."
"Tony, let's listen to her, she is the doctor," Pepper urged Tony.
"Fine, but I don't like it, something is going on here and I'm going to find out," Tony said and then left the room, the rest of us following behind him.
I was at the door when I turned around and saw that Wanda was still there and noticed that her eyes were glowing, I put my hand on her shoulder to get her attention.
"Wanda."
She blinked, her eyes going back to normal but I noticed the look in her eyes.
"Bucky."
I shook my head, "Don't say anything."
Wanda nodded, confirming she heard me and we quickly left the room closing the door behind us.
Dr. Gray's POV:
Once I heard the door close I called out to FRIDAY.
"FRIDAY, please soundproof the room."
FRIDAY: yes Dr. Gray.
"Thank you, now show me the results of the scan."
FRIDAY: of course Dr. Gray.
FRIDAY pulled up a hologram image of Hope's body scan allowing me to see.
"Well luckily nothing is broken and I don't see any internal bleeding, FRIDAY, can you please enlarge the image of her head?"
FRIDAY: yes Dr. Gray.
FRIDAY enlarged the image to give me a better look at the head scan.
I looked at her brain scans and noted some slight swelling in Hope's frontal lobe on the right side but no bleeding.
"No bleeds in the brain so that's good but there is some slight swelling in her frontal lobe but that's to be expected with a concussion, I also already checked the wound and it's not deep so no stitches will be needed so I will go ahead and clean it up."
FRIDAY: very well Dr. Gray, should I go ahead and inform everyone else?
"Not yet FRIDAY, I want to wait until she is awake so that she can have enough time to be calm before everyone comes and bombard her."
FRIDAY: of course Dr. Gray.
I grabbed my medical bag and took out what I needed and went to work on cleaning the wound up, I put a few butterfly strips to the part of the wound that was on her forehead. Once I was satisfied with that I took out an ammonia packet from the bag, breaking it and holding it under Hope's nose, she shot up the moment she opened her eyes and I could see the panic in her eyes and she tried to move away from me.
"No, please, stay away, no more, no more," Hope was becoming hysterical.
FRIDAY: Dr. Gray, her heart rate is extremely high, I fear she is close to having a panic attack.
I knew to not try and touch her so I spoke to her, praying that she would listen and calm down, "Hope, it's okay, calm down, you're safe, your not there anymore."
But it wasn't working and she was getting worse so I quickly got a sedative as a last resort though I prayed that I would not have to use it.
"Hope, listen to my voice please, I don't want to give you seductive, so please calm down."
Hope was looking at her surroundings, "Where am I?"
Before I could answer, FRIDAY came on.
FRIDAY: you are home now, Ms. Stark.
"Yes, Hope, your home, safe and sound."
"Dr. Gray?"
I breathed a sigh of relief, "Yes Hope, it's me, how are you feeling?"
Hope groaned as she laid back down, "Like I fell off a horse and got knocked out."
Now that she was conscious, I started to assess her again.
"Is your head hurting?"
"Yup."
"How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Um, can't tell, everything looks blurry."
I started to worry thinking her concussion could be more severe but then Hope spoke again.
"But that could be from me losing a contact, can you hand me my glasses?"
Hope pointed to her nightstand where a case was, I grabbed it and handed it to her, I watched as Hope looked out of each eye to figure out which eye contact she lost so that she could get the other one out and then put on her glasses.
"Okay, that's better now."
"How many fingers am I holding up, Hope?"
"3."
"Any dizziness, nausea?"
"A little on the dizziness."
"Well the scan that FRIDAY did shows that you have a mild concussion so you are to take it easy for a while and I don't want you on horses, at least until that swelling has gone down, and if you experience any more or worse symptoms, you are to go straight to the hospital, understand."
"Yes, Dr. Gray, I promise that I will take it easy, plus everyone here is not going to let me lift a finger either."
"I expect nothing else, now, how are you mentally?"
Hope's POV:
"Now, how are you mentally?" Dr. Gray asked me.
I was silent for a moment, "I'm not sure but I will give Dr. Price a call in the morning for an emergency session."
"Can I ask what happened?"
"Panic attack and flashback, I ran off to get away to calm down, I wasn't sure how far Midnight and I got but when I had calmed down at last, we were turning back to come home and we heard a rattlesnake which spooked Midnight, he reared up and I didn't have a good grasp which is how I fell and then everything went dark," I explained to Dr. Gray.
"Alright, well rest up and take it easy, I want to see you in my office in a week to check how you are doing, got it."
"Yes, and thank you, Dr. Gray."
"No need to thank me, I'll see you in a week."
Dr. Gray put her things away in her medical bag and got up to leave but then stopped and looked back at me.
"Everyone was worried about you and want to see you, do you want me to let them in?"
I panicked at the thought of having everyone in here at once and Dr. Gray noticed.
"I get it, don't worry, I tell them to let you rest so only a few visitors, sound okay."
"Yes, thank you again."
"Don't mention it and feel better."
Dr. Gray then left my room closing the door behind me.
