Hope's POV:

After Dr. Gray left, Mom came in a few minutes later with a plate of food and a glass of water.

"Mrs. Williams prepared this for you," Mom said as she placed the plate and glass on my nightstand.

"Thanks," I started to sit up but then fell back against the pillows due to a wave of dizziness.

"Are you okay?"

"I think I moved too fast, I got dizzy."

"Here, let me help you."

Keeping me steady, Mom slowly help me sit up, she moved two pillows up against the headboard and then helped me lean back carefully.

"Thank you, Mom."

"Of course sweetheart, here you go and try to eat, okay," Mom handed me the plate.

Mom watched as I slowly ate, I could see the questions in her eyes and I prayed that she wouldn't ask, at least not yet, I wanted to talk to Dr. Price first.

"Honey, can I ask what happened to you earlier that caused you to leave like you did?"

I stopped eating for a moment contemplating what to tell her.

"It's a long story and one that honestly I've been hiding from you and Dad."

"What, but why?"

"Because it's too painful to think about it still, but I promise you that I will tell you both soon, and I only ask you to give me time first."

"Alright, I won't push you, but in the meantime finish eating, and then I'll help you get in the shower so you can clean up and then you can get some sleep, alright."

I nodded to Mom in agreement and finished eating, afterward, she helped me to the bathroom so I could shower when I finished and got out I saw that she had left me a change of clothes, I got dried and changed, then brushed my teeth, when I opened the bathroom door, Mom was sitting on the bed waiting for me.

"How are you feeling?"

"Tired mostly."

"Alright, let's get you to bed so you can rest."

I climbed into bed, and Mom got in as well, once I settled in I couldn't help but cuddle into her arms, I have not done that in a long time, not because I didn't want to but because we just had not much time together and that's partly because of the distance of us living in different states. When she felt me cuddle into her, she wrapped her arms around me, keeping me close to her, I did the same and let sleep come.

"I love you, Mommy."

"I love you, too, sweetheart, always have and always will."

And that night was one of the first in months where I was not plagued by nightmares again knowing that I was safe and sound. In the morning when I woke up I found that I was by myself but before I even got out of bed my door opened and it was Mom coming in with a tray in her hands.

"Morning, Hope, how did you sleep?"

"Good, and Mom, you didn't have to bring me breakfast in bed."

"I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to, plus you are taking it easy today, which means no worries on the horses, the guys all have that under control, understand."

"Yes, ma'am."

She placed the tray in front of me and kissed my head, "Good, now eat up, I'll be back to check up on you in a little bit, okay."

I nodded and she left, leaving me to eat breakfast but before I did I grabbed my phone and called Dr. Price.

"Hello?"
