Life story:

Your mother was a lovely priestess named Yakumo, and your father a demon named Jun. Your mother died in childbirth, and so you lived with you father until you were five, and he was killed by another demon.

You traveled for three years, until one day. You were in the woods and you saw a young girl about your age holding hands with a young boy, probably her brother. She stopped by the river, leaving her little brother by a tree. You saw a demon come out of the blue, and it headed towards the boy. The boy cried, and the girl turned around immediately. Luckily, you came in just in time to kill the demon with your katana. You sighed in relief, but when you felt the presence of another demon behind you, you stiffened. The girl quickly jumped into action and killed the demon.

The girl hugged her younger brother and apologized, then turned back to you and expressed her thanks. The thing is, she didn't know you were a half-demon, since you looked human. "It's no big deal," you assured her, "and thank you, too."

"That's the last time I take my brother into the woods to play," she said with a laugh. "My name's Sango, by the way, and this is Kohaku. What's your name? What were you doing here anyway? Are you all alone?" shooting out one question after another.

You nodded, and when she realized this, she immediately asked you, "Would you like to come home with us?"

Your eyes widened in shock, and didn't have time to respond. For at that moment, a large two-tailed cat demons two-tailed cat demon ran in, and growled at you.

"Kirara! Stop that!" cried Sango. She looked at your katana, still in your hand, and was shocked to see a mystical glow around it. "You're a demon," she said. It wasn't a question, it was a statement.

"...A half-demon," you corrected.

She looked up at you and asked, "So, are you coming with us or not?"

That was the first day you had received such kindness from someone. You went back with her to her village, and after asking her father, you were allowed to stay as thanks for saving Kohaku.

You were good friends with Sango and Kohaku, and even Kirara seemed to like you. As for the rest of the villagers, you couldn't quite tell.

Though you had a feeling their feelings about you weren't exactly positive, but you didn't care. You loved your life, and you had so much fun all the time. Life was perfect... until one day.

Eight years past, and some demon slayers, including Sango and her family, were gone to fight a demon. That day, demon attacked the village, many people died. You managed to fight off some demon, though you knew it would be useless, and so you fled.

You heaved and panted, badly injured and running from a demon who'd slipped from the village to catch you. You fell to your knees, and surely would have died that day, had it not been for one man. You heard the swish of claws, and fell to the ground. You looked up to see an dog demon, dressed in white, accompanied by a small demon.

"Do you think she shall live, Sesshōmaru-sama?" asked the smaller demon.

"Yes," the dog demon replied. He glanced at you and then the two walked off.

"Sesshōmaru," you whispered. You closed your eyes and were engulfed with darkness.

You woke up as soon as you passed out, or so it seemed. You blinked your eyes, sensitive to the sunlight, and got up. Wincing in pain, you held your aching side, but forced yourself to move forward.
