Meaning: beautiful friend

Life story: 

You are a powerful fox demon, more than capable of protecting yourself. You would not consider yourself evil, not one to go out of your way to harm humans and bearing no particular hatred for half-demons. Still, you are a demon  nonetheless, and it is never wise to cross a demon.

Your father was an ally of the Great Dog Demon, a powerful dog demon, and it was through him that you met his son, Sesshōmaru. The two of you were around the same age, and while you did not quite grow up alongside one another, you had known each other since a very young age. The first time Sesshōmaru and you had sparred in front of your fathers, it had been a draw, and fight after fight, your powers would prove to be equal.

When the Panther Tribe invaded from the west, seeking to conquer the eastern lands, the Great Dog Demon, Lord of the Western Lands, gathered all the allies he could to fight against the new threat. You fought alongside Sesshōmaru, among others, but the war was put to an end when the Great Dog Demon defeated the leader of the Panther Tribe in one-on-one combat. Once the war was over, you and Sesshōmaru parted ways, not to see each other again for years to come.

Fifty years after the events which took place with the Panther Tribe, you ran into Sesshōmaru, who you sparred with yet again, for old time's sake. Yet again, the two of you came to a tie, and after that, without exchanging any unnecessary words, you stayed with Sesshōmaru, travelling alongside him as he wandered the land.

One hundred years had passed when word came that the Jewel of Four Souls had been destroyed and that Sesshōmaru's half-brother Inuyasha had been killed. Half a century later it was said that the Shikon no Tama had returned yet again, but had been shattered into countless pieces. It wasn't long after that you and Sesshōmaru—along with Jaken, a demon who had decided to tag along after Sesshōmaru had unintentionally saved his life—discovered that Inuyasha had returned as well.

Many things have happened on your travels with Sesshōmaru as of late. The two of you have grown to despise the demon Naraku, who has attempted to manipulate the two of you on several occasions. The two of you also happened upon a small, human child named Rin, who had taken to the two of you and decided to tag along. You found yourself getting taken to Rin, two, and although he doesn't admit it, you're fairly certain that Sesshōmaru feels the same. That must be the true reason; for when Naraku kidnapped Rin, your already deep hatred for him became stronger, as did Sesshōmaru's.

"Tomomi-sama."

"Yes, Rin?" you said. Sesshōmaru had gone off, Jaken following eagerly after him when you had offered to watch Rin.

"Do you have any family?"

"Why do you ask?" you wondered.

"I don't know," she admitted. "I was just wondering."

"Yes, I do have family," you told her. "They live far away, though."

"Why are you not with them, then?" she inquired.

"After a certain age I was to leave my family in search of a mate," you explained, causing the little girl to blush. "Someone who is as strong as I am, or stronger."

"But you're hear now," she pointed out.

You smiled.

You've never quite had a reason for following Sesshōmaru; it just felt natural, as it does now with Rin and Jaken. You care for Rin and—though you would never admit it—even care for Jaken a little.

"Is it because you love him?" she asked. Her curiosity and ability to ask such a personal question without giving it so much as a second thought was something only a child could have, so innocent and naïve. "Do you love him? Sesshōmaru-sama?"

Of course you care for Sesshōmaru—whether these feelings are those of friendship or something more, however...

"I don't know," you admitted, pausing to ponder this. "I might be."

But it does not matter. Because however you feel, you will remain at his side...

"But either way, I won't be going anywhere," you assured Rin, patting her head. You had been sent out by your father to search for a mate, but... "I have things worth staying for."

Now, and in the many years to come.

Abilities: Foxfire; Transformation; swordsmanship; hand-to-hand combat

What they think of you:

Inuyasha: One of Sesshōmaru's allies. Just for that I can already say that I don't like her.

Kagome: She seems really distant, to us at least, but she seems to really care about Rin.

Sango: I don't know much about her. She sometimes is with Sesshōmaru, but other times she isn't there when we come across him.

Miroku: She has a powerful presence. She must be very strong.

Shippō: I don't really know a lot about her.

Kikyō: I know little of her or Sesshōmaru.

Kaede: I am not sure who it is you are referring to.

Myōga: Ah, yes, Tomomi-sama's father was a longtime ally of the Great Dog Demon. Her strength Is impressive to be a match to Sesshōmaru-sama's.

Kōga: I've met her once or twice in the past. She stays out of my way, I stay out of hers.

Naraku: It's always amusing to manipulate Sesshōmaru and her.

Byakuya: I've been told to keep my eye on her and Sesshōmaru a couple of times.

Kagura: I don't know about her, but if there's anyone who can kill Naraku, it's Sesshōmaru.

Kanna: Her soul has found comfort at last.

Hakudōshi: I hear she's strong. It should be fun killing her.

Akago (baby incarnation of Naraku): I know her heart even better than she does. That should make it fairly easy to manipulate her.

Mōryōmaru: I've never seen her fight before.

Sesshōmaru: We have known one another for quite some time. Having her nearby is nothing out of the ordinary.

Jaken: I prefer she stay to watch Rin, anyhow. That way I get to go with Sesshōmaru-sama!
