Hers~>

So I guess I was overreacting after all, my mum and Amannah are the sweetest.

As soon as my mum saw me she started sobbing, apologising that she couldn't be with me through the accident.

"I missed so much Noori." Amannah calls out, pulling me in for a hug.

"Uh- yeah." I nervously reply, returning the hug.

My mum senses the awkwardness and takes my hand in hers.

"Don't be nervous Noor, if you are feeling overwhelmed just tell us. But we're so happy that you're okay." Amannah reassures me, with a smile.

The nerves immediately stopped as she says this. Wow they really are the best.

"Thank you, but don't worry I'm alright." I respond.

"Well with that out of the way, what did you get us from Bangladesh Amma?" Samir asks, sitting next to me and my sister on the sofa.

"Oh my days, Samir we'll get to that later." Amannah responds, before pulling Samir's hair.

"Ow you rat!" Samir calls out, while I'm trying to suppress my laughter.

"You two stop! Amannah we can show Noor her lehengha." My mum calls out, already dragging one of the large suitcases.

"Oh yesss, Noor you're gonna love it me, Neha and Hala chose it." Amannah replies, turning to face me, smiling widely.

"You all did?" I ask, curiously.

"Yeah we wanted to surprise you before the accident. Don't worry you gave us your preferences though." She replies, getting up from her seat to help my mum with the suitcase.

"Hmm what was the pin again Amannah, for the suitcase?" My mum asks, her fingers tapping on her chin.

"Stop did she forget again?" Samir asks Amannah, before me and him burst into laughter.

"Yeah it's only the third time." Amannah replies, laughing with Samir and me.

"Okay that's enough laughing, someone get me a knife. I don't think it's going to open." My mum calls out.

"I don't think so. I paid good money for this suitcase, Mariam." My dad intervenes, trying to guess the pin himself.

"Alright while you try to do that, I'll make some ramen. Do you want some Noori it was your favourite?" Amannah asks me, before walking to kitchen.

"Uh yeah I'll have some thanks... umm how do you say big sister in Bengali again?" I ask quietly. I called Samir bhaiya I might as well do the same for Amannah.

"Affa" She says with a grin.

"Thanks affa." I reply, smiling back.

A few hours later I'm walking to my mum's room, to tell her I'm going to the Mosque tomorrow with Hala, Neha... and Hala's brother.

"Amma I'm gonna go to the Mosque tomorrow if that's fine with you." I tell her.

"Yeah that's fine Noor. Do you want me to ask Samir to take you?" She asks me with a massive smile.

"No, i think Hala's brother is taking us." I reply quietly.

"Oh Khalil's back?" She questions, eyebrows raised.

"Huh, what do you mean back Amma?" I ask. What was she talking about?

"Nothing Noor, I'll ask Samir about it later don't worry." She tries reassuring me, but I'm still confused.
