His~> 19 days married
"I think we must've been worse." Noor says as we look through our childhood pictures.
It was a picture of her pushing me on the swing.
"Worse than what?" I ask.
"Khalil. We were so naughty when we were little." She states, shaking her head.
"We? I don't think it's a we thing." I reply.
"Mmhmm, then who was the one who got gum stuck in my hair and I ended up having a whole chunk of my hair cut off?" She asks, tilting her head.
Hmm.
Well that was mostly Samir's fault than mine.
"You know damn well that was Samir's fault more than mine." I reply, leaning back on the sofa.
"Okay it might've been his plan but who was the one who actually did it?" She asks, crossing her arms.
"Again, not me." I state.
"Sure, it wasn't you. It was a ghost!" Noor says with a gasp.
"Hala put it in your hair, hayati. I only tried to get it out." I reply, grinning.
"Hala did it?!" She asks, stunned.
Crap did she not know.
"She never told you?" I ask, scratching my beard.
"No, she said you did it." She responds, rolling her eyes.
Classic Hala, blaming her brothers.
The next day~
"What's on the agenda today?" Noor asks me as I check up on some emails for work.
"You can pick, I don't mind." I reply, sending off the last of the emails.
"Do you wanna get some ice cream?" She asks as I shut the laptop.
"Hmm, that sounds like a plan." I agree and she gets up from her seat.
We'd already have spent 3 days in the Maldives and have 3 days left.
20 minutes later after we've both gotten changed, her and I leave for some ice cream.
It was already 8pm but she had all the energy in her today.
"What would you guys like today?" The ice cream man asks with a welcoming smile.
"Mint chocolate chip?" I ask Noor and she grins.
"Mint choc chip for both of us please." Noor says and I smile.
"Perfect I just got a new batch!" He replies, clapping.
I nod to him as my wife laughs.
"For the Mademoiselle and the gentleman." The man says a few moments later, holding up the cones to us with joy.
Hmm, this is what I was expecting from that waiter but anyways.
"Jazahkhallah." Noor and me both reply as we take our ice cream.
We walk on the sidewalk for a bit and I purposely walked slower for us to get a glimpse of the sunset together.
I wanted to be sitting on the beach not paying an ounce of attention to the sky but at her. Stealing secret glances at her while she looked at the sky in a daze.
I wanted to feel the heat of her gaze hit on me, while feeling the burning sensation whenever we made eye contact.
"Did you ever think we'd be here?" She asks, pulling me out of my thoughts.
